horrible insomnia--worried

i have PPD and have been treating it with wellbutrin. i've had insomnia once or twice (for a couple of nights) and had difficulty napping in the beginning but lately all was well. the other night the insomnia randomly came back. i'm SO TIRED. it's night 4 of very little sleep. i've tried valerian, melatonin, and the chiropractor. no luck...

i'm thinking of getting an Rx for something if i can...

i feel so anxious and i can't decide if it's the lack of sleep CAUSING the anxiety, or what. my heart is racing and i can't sleep at all. i'm worried it's going to lead to a psychotic break or something...i read about that happening with people who have PPD, it turning into PPP and starting out as insomnia?

anyone BTDT, have any advice for me? it was going so well lately. i was really getting better. why is this happening to me???

Sometimes Wellbutrin can amp you up too much. Or, if you are just starting it, it could be the initial "going on" effect from the drug. In that case, it will go away.

I would talk to your psychiatrist about it. You might need something to help you sleep. My Dr. told me initially that she would give me something if I could not sleep on Zoloft, but after the first weeks, I was fine.
