Bad bumper sticker

I saw such a stupid bumper sticker the other day at the dmv it said "Home delivery is for pizza" it really made me and dp kinda sad. How could someone be so against something so wonderful. We just didnt understand. I guess I just had no idea their are people out there that are so against home births that they needed to get a bumper sticker to say so...

That's really strange that someone felt strongly enough about birthing at home to put a sticker on his/her car! Perhaps a "Hospitals are for sick people" would look nice on my car

An OB in our town has that same bumper sticker. : Geez, think he's a little defensive or anything?

But I think the sticker is actually "Home Delivery is for Pizza"

That's just goofy. I would never use the word "birth" to talk creating or obtaining a pizza!

I'm familiar with the argument "home delivery is fine for pizza, but...." I've never understood that analogy, either. Is it just a clever way to dismiss or ridicule homebirth?

Heh, you all will love to know that at the 2006 ACOG conference they handed those stickers out... No wonder we face such ignorant opposition.

Dp wanted to go in and say someone is messing with that car to find out whos car it was so he could talk to them, luckly talked him out of that since you never know what kinda crazy person could own it. But it was nice to know he was very proud of our homebirth.

Wow. They must be feeling threatened. I'll take that as a good sign that our cause is gaining more publicity

That is one of the most absurd bumper stickers. I never heard of it before now, but it just figures it's made for OBs who feel threatened. I agree, they must be feeling the pinch if they're thinking up bumper stickers to diss homebirth.

Shut up!!! No way!!! Wow. No wonder, indeed.

One of the OB's I used to work with said that ALL. the. time. She was a big believer in epidurals for everyone and rolled her eyes at anyone with a birth plan.

Why don't we unite as homebirth mamas and proudly display our own bumper stickers in response??

"Pizza boys deliver. Women give birth...at home!"

Oh, yeah!

: I like that! Maybe "Delivery is for Pizza. Homebirth is for Babies!"

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if someone already had that, or something very similar, on CafePress. I wish I could figure out how to do stuff on CafePress....I have a design in mind for a t-shirt, but no clue how to get it set up! And it's not a fancy or complicated design....but apparently my brain is not even up to the task of un-fancy and un-complicated these days.

Anyone wanna tutor me? Seriously, if you know how, PM me!
