Yikes, no way! Not for the embarrassment factor, but for the OUCH! factor. Eeks!

Not that it really makes a whole lot of difference since I think it's perfectly acceptable to groom your patch any way you like including bald or all natural...

I get Brazilian bikini waxes done. I used to get it done more regularly, but as I am currently pregnant and not growing as much hair as I used to, I've only gotten it done twice in the past several months. I get it done because it's much more sanitary and hygienic for me. It also adds to the fun factor during sex.

I used to get it done by a professional, but I've trained my guy to wax me. (I have all the professional equipment.) It's not too bad. He's not as quick as a professional esthetician, so the sessions take longer. There's more hair afterward that he has to pluck out by hand. Saves me a bundle of money though.

As for the pain, it's totally bearable. It only hurts the second that the wax is being pulled off your skin. The pain goes away immediately. It's not as painful as, say, a toothache.

I love it but can't afford it. Wish I could find someone who would trade.

Anyone want to give a brazillian for free childcare? I'm in...

Love it Although I haven't had one done since DS was born - we just don't have the money anymore.

The reason I get it done has nothing to do with appearance, not liking hair, what DH find attractive etc. I love brazilians because ... erm .... how to put this delicately .... let's just say DTD is completely ramped up a few notches when there isn't a whole stack of hair buffering our naughty bits. And, I'm sure this is TMI but this thread is about brazilians so I'm going to go there, I'm better lubricated with a brazilian because my hair doesn't soak up all the moisture.

i voted in this when the poll first went up, but now change my vote from "never tried it, never will" to "tried it and hated it". well, i liked the results (though it hurt like the devil in the first trimester of pregnancy!) but the regrowth was a nightmare. itchy itchy!

I've never had it professionally done, but only because it is just way too much money. I have done it myself a few times, but it so time consuming and I make a litle bit of a mess with the wax. Hurt like hell in a couple of places, but that's ok, I liked the endorphin rush others have mentioned.

I prefer no hair, but can't shave it for all the ingrown hairs. Waxing is much better. I can't use that sugar stuff though -- yeouchy! I bought a wax warmer and buy the professional wax. I just buy plain muslin at the store and cut it up for strips. I used to do my legs all the time. Saved me a lot of money.
