Potential allergens in Rainbow Light prenatals?

I'm not sure where the best place to ask this is, so I'm trying this forum...

I'm recently pregnant. Last time around I took the Rainbow Light Complete prenatals. I really felt better - more energy, less nausea - when taking them. However, my nursling is allergic to dairy, eggs, peanuts and tree nuts. The bottle says they are dairy free, but doesn't really provide enough information to make an informed decision about the possible presence of traces of egg or nuts. I've emailed the company a couple of times and gotten no response.

Has anyone out there researched this before and might have some answers? I really like them, but don't want to risk the unknown at this point.

Is there a 1800 number you can call? What about going to the store where they are sold and asking the rep? Good luck! I took those, too, and they were wonderful for my energy level. I might get some again soon to take even though I'm not pg.

Rainbow Light has red raspberry leaf, which can reduce milk supply if taken for longer than a week.

I thought red raspberry leaf was supposed to increase milk supply. It's in Mother's Milk Tea

Sheila Humphrey, in The Nursing Mother's Herbal, says "[Raspberry leaf] is believed to lower milk supply with long-term use in the postpartum, even though it seems to increase supply when used short-term (less than a week). It is best to use raspberry leaf only briefly and as a minor part of galactogogue recipes."

I took them for several months while first nursing, before we were aware of the allergy problems and didn't have any noticeable impact on my supply. But thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware of that information.

FWIW, I have been taking the Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal System vitamins for over 3 years straight... through two pregnancies and nursing two babies. No food allergies, no problems with milk supply. Ever.

I finally got this response from the Rainbow Light folks - in case anyone else was interested.

Thank you for your email and your interest in Rainbow Light. There should be
no trace of dairy, nuts, or eggs in our products because the manufacturing
team are scrupulous in cleaning before and after each product manufactured.
Rainbow Light does not use any of the products mentioned, but products made
with nuts, dairy, and eggs are made in the same facility.

I haven't found a way to take these darn pills. They are so big I gag. I tried to cut them up...I don't recommend it.

I have never noticed a milk supply issue with taking these. DS has been nursing throughout my pg, and there's never been a problem. I'm not a major producer or anything either, so it's not like I had more than enough to begin with. I also take RRL tea...

The ones that you take once a day? I've never thought they were that big. I actually thought the 6x/day ones were way worse.

Rebecca, I'm at your title. I couldn't do it either. The only reason I even have them is because I wasn't paying attention to which bottle I bought, and by the time I realized it, it was too late to take them back! :
