my youngest 2 children still have nap time, then my oldest 2 are asked to have quiet time. they may read books, do art projects, etc, as long as they are quiet and in the room. My 7yr old has no problem with this but my 4yr old DS has been having a major issue with it lately. at what age have others ended quiet time? any ideas on how to "refresh" it for him that he will enjoy it again?

What about books on tape? Or putting aside a stash of puzzles, games, and other quiet toys just for quiet time?

I agree. You should have special toys, books, etc just for quiet time. My 5yo DS has quiet time while 3yo DD is napping. The only way i can keep him from waking up DD is by pulling out toys that aren't readily available to him all the time. I also put music on for him sometimes and it puts in more in the playing mood.
good luck!
