Any mom's Bf'ing and using SINGULAIR??

Hi there,

I've always had my asthma under control, only using my albuterol inhaler very seldom. recently, however, between my allergies and my asthma getting worse, I'm using my inhaler A LOT.

My doctor thinks I should go on Singulair but she couldn't find any reports about taking it while breastfeeding. So I'm wondering if there are any mom's out there on it and if there is a negative effect on your babes.

The good news here is our DD is almost 2 so she doesn't nurse AS much but she still nurses enough for me to be concerned and she's still up at night, and that is when I'd be taking the meds.

Anyway, it's always so frustrating that there is never enough info out there regarding pregnant and bf'ing, in regards to prescription drugs! I've always treated it w/ alternative methods but can't afford that right now

I believe it is passed through breastmilk but it's considered to be safe. I was taking it while pumping full time for both my kids with the blessings of doctor and midwife.
