The Book Thief - Page 2

We read this in my book club, and everyone loved it. Not the world's best book, but the story was great and it's so hard to put it down once you start reading. It's the kind of book I'd like to read more often, because I remember how great it was when you used every spare minute in your day to read.

It will really stay with you, too. I'm glad you bumped this thread and I hope other people read The Book Thief, too.

I read it, and I finished it, but I wouldn't say that it was greatly moved by it. I can't tell you why... it seems like a book that I would really love and want to own. It was certainly well written and well crafted, but I just didn't get into it that deeply.

I agree. It took me a few weeks to process it. It's still my current favorite book.

I am reading it now--enjoying it throughly--I skipped down through posts as not to read too many details as I am less than 1/2 way through it----I'll post again once I am done.......
