JUNE Mamas!! - Page 9

Vbac

I want a vbac so bad and there is only one place in our county that will even consider doing it. Well, yesterday, I got an e-mail from the main ob/gyn stating that they are undergoing revisions of their vbac policy and may not be offering them. I'm so annoyed and upset. There is only 1 mid-wife in the area who will do a home vbac and in all honesty, we cannot afford to pay for the ob/gyn and the midwife (The midwife requires DR visits) and I am too chicken sh%t to do an unassisted birth. I feel kind of angry that I'm in this situation. I feel like damaged goods who gets no say in what I want. God I wish I knew what I know now when I had DS.:

mamatotwo - My thoughts are with you. May you find some peace.

2happymamas - Get OUT! I am so excited! I thought I saw over in the TTC forum that you weren't testing until Friday, so I made a mental note to check back (I'm still stalking charts over there to see who else will join us!). Congratulations to you and DW!

bellydance - I was once told that spotting without cramping is fine and cramping without spotting is fine, but once the combine, that's not fine. I had spotting at 6 and 8 weeks with DS, though I also was on long flights around that time and was told that sitting for extended periods of time could do that. Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as it's small and brownish. Oh who am I kidding, I'd worry. But then I'd look to all of you to tell me not to.

And now for a little for me...
I'm a little nervous today because last night I actually had the energy for sex and so we did and right as I was about to O I got a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. Like someone had stuck a pin in me. It was momentary (and I still managed to enjoy myself), but it kinda freaked me out. I've been imagining horrible things now. I even temped again this morning and it's a bit lower than it was before, but I don't have any spotting or cramping. So I'm hoping it was just some weird twinge. When pg with DS, after about 18 weeks, if I o'd I'd have mild contractions for a while after. Ok, I'll stop talking about it now.

That's my birthday! Don't worry it has always brought me good luck

2happymamas - Welcome and congrats! My Dad was born on Friday Dec 13th and I have always thought of Friday the 13th as a lucky day!

I feel a bit better now, not quite as freaked out as earlier when I saw the brown spot on my underwear. I analyzed it some more and it is a pretty tiny spot. Not much at all. I work in the same building as my husband and we actually ran to the mall at lunch and I showed him my underwear in one of the dressing rooms and he feels that everything is ok as well. So, I plan on watching it and monitoring how I feel and if anything else happens I will call my m/w. I also work in an office of almost all women and I know a bunch of them all have AF plus it is my cycle time as well, so it is probably just some spotting from that. I haven't had any cramps at all, so that makes me feel better also. I have had a weird stomach ache off and on all week and have been very gassy. I always got stomach aches around my period due to my hormones so it must be just my bodies way of dealing with the pregnancy hormones.

Thanks everyone for all the support!

Hey - can you add me to the club? I just found out last night that I'm pregnant!! EDD is June 12. I'm completely amazed - managed to catch the first egg that was released after having my son 16 months ago! : Yay for babies! Guess I need to get serious about planning my VBAC now.

Mamatotwo - I'm so sorry, you're in my prayers.

Bellydance2290 - I had some bleeding around 6 weeks with my 2nd pregnancy. Scared the heck out of me, but all was fine.

Just met the midwife today that we will be using for our homebirth! She was so calm and grounded and made me feel very peaceful about this whole pregnancy. I'm going in for my first real appointment around 12 weeks (I wanted to wait until we can hear a heartbeat). I feel good knowing I have a care provider in place, for questions, concerns and whatnot.

Hope everyone is feeling good - the queasies come and go with me, but so far easier than the other two pregnancies (but enough today to reassure me!). Maybe that means I'm having a boy (I have 2 dds).

Have a good day! Namaste.

Congrats! No worries - there are worse due dates - a friend of mine's was Sept 11. It bothered her so much she actually got the doc to change it to the 13th for her! lol

Thank you! It was just odd because it just happened one time. This pregnancy is already much more different than my last. My back already hurts, but off and on. Its not constant, so that is good. Is it possible to hurt around the epidural site? I notice that sometimes I will feel like my muscles are aching around that spot, but it just started recently.

I just tried to post but hit something and saw all my words go to data heaven... I'm not the sharpest tool. hehe.

I've been reading all your posts over the past few days, wanting to post along with you but waiting for activation. Now I've learned that we've had another miscarriage. So I can't join you after all but I wanted to say hello and tell you I'll be checking back in to see how all of you are doing. How "funny" that I've been waiting tell you all about my 6/1 due date and to create my signature with the little countdown stork (!). OH well. We're not as far along as last time (an 8-wk pregnancy that passed naturally a few weeks later) so it is easier, physically and emotionally.

Best to all you mamas!

Expecting my fifth!

I'm totally new here and due early June (technically June 1st). I've been using TCOYF for more than a year and I really should not be pregnant. We BD'd on cycle day 9 and I didn't ovulate until at least day 13-14! We had planned on trying later this winter as we were really trying to avoid another spring birthday! All of our kids are born between March-May. Oh, well!

I'm feeling very pregnant - huge belly already (happened with my 4th, too), food cravings (usually love sweets, now don't want anything but citrus) and exhaustion (in bed at 8).

My youngest (girl) was 2 in May and is still nursing strong. I nursed all of my kids until they were 2.5-3 and I was always pregnant with the next! My oldest (also girl) is 11 and I have two boys, 8 and 5.

Oh, this will be our 4th homebirth, too!

Mamatotwo, Im so sorry, please be good to yourself and heal quickly.

machibelly, you do seem to be handling this very well, you seem like a very strong mama!

Well I just got over food poisoning! It was horrible! On Wed I puked all night (I HATE PUKING!) and then all day on thurs I literally COULD NOT MOVE. I have never had anything like this happen at least as far back as I can remember...I had to have my mom come over all day to watch DS. I was too weak to stand up, it was the strangest sensation, I couldnt hold up my own body! But, Im better today, still alittle weak, and my tummy is tender, but better. I was worried all day about fever getting to high ( I know thats kinda dangerous in the 1st Trimester) so I was taking it all day. It never seemed to get to high, only up to about 100. Thats nothing to worry about right? Its not like I could have done much anyway, I dont take fever reducers.

Also, Chesapeake! Im so happy everything seems to be going well! I agree that a betas every 2 days is too stressfull, good choise on limiting that stress. Im still sending you those sticky baby vibes, but it sounds like you will not be needing them for much longer!

I'm just going to jump right in. I'm still in complete shock, but I am most definitely pg!! I had a m/c starting on 8/28 at 7w. I didn't have another AF and decided to test Sunday night because I wasn't sure what was going on. The positive line came up before the control and was way darker and heavier than the control!! I still am having a hard time believing this. I am due in early June. I had an u/s yesterday which dated me at 4w2d, but I think I am farther along than that since I got such a strong positive Sunday night (which would have been 3w5d according to u/s). I'll be having betas drawn Mon and Wed for my own peace of mind and I've consented to one more u/s in 2 weeks to see the hb.

I haven't had a chance to read through the previous nine pages of this thread; Any other PALs here?
dkenagy, yup, I'm a PAL too. Welcome to the group!
