I had my membranes stripped today...

had it done withg 2 or 3 kids...never worked for me, BUT I know somemoms who it HAS worked for, GL!

I had it done twice (with my first two) and had a baby within 36 hours both times. I had sex that evening (both times) which kicked everything into high gear and I had the baby the next day. I hope it works for you too.

I tried it with both of my boys so far...didn't work for me. But nothing but pitocin did.

My mw said that if I am still pg at my 40 wk appt she will strip my membranes if I want her to. She offered to do this with my dd and I was going to but I went into labor a few hours before my appt. I don't know if I will do it this time. Hopefully I will have the baby before Tuesday.

doc tried to do it this time, but said they were mostly already separated. had babe the next day. good luck!

my mw had tried to strip them from 38 weeks as i was dilated and really uncomfortable... but they were already separated! had my little one about a week later!

I did it with my 2nd dc, it worked. DS was born about 30 hours later(I was in labor for 29 of those 30 hours).

i had it done Wednesday by my mw, still waiting (now Saturday). Thursday was 39 weeks.

I just had it done... she told me it will not work if your body is not ready for labor.

I had it done with my daughter on Tuesday night. I went into labor on Thursday morning. I was 39 weeks 1 day at that point. So, I'd say it worked for me. That's the only form of 'induction' I'd be willing to try, though.
