Bay Area, CA nursing a 4 yr 2 month old, 1-2 times per day. He lurves nursing, the sweet taste of the milk. I want him to remeeember what it was like when he is older.

don't know anyone IRL who nurses at this age, not even at LLL.

my friend is nursing a newly 3yo. That is the oldest toddler i know being nursed.

I'm in the Hudson Valley in NY. DD is about to turn three and it does not seem she'll be done before Nov (her bday). I know a few others who've nursed past babyhood but only one or two actual people who have nursed past two!

So-Cal- and Little Man just turned 3- I hang around a crunch crowd- so there are plenty of other nursing 3 yo's around us!!!

Nursing a four year old in Central Texas! I am surprised that the state that brought George Bush to power is such a center of extended nursing!

I'm on the the Eastside of the Seattle/Puget sound area. I'm nursing my 3yr2mos son. I know of people who nursed up to 2 1/2 in the past but none in real life. Nice to find out you're not alone isn't it?!

I am in Vt. peacefully nursing DS 2 who is 3.3 years old DS1 weaned around 3.5 yrs. I don't know anyone who is nursing a toddler or "preschooler". I met one women this spring who was nursing her little 2 year old. It made me feel not so alone and i wanted to chat with her about the joys of older nurslings but I didn't want to scare her away. I just wish more people did

I weaned at 24 months but many of my friends are or have nursed their children age 3+. SW Missouri.

In Japan nursing an almost 4y.o and an 8 month old.
up to 2 seems to be the norm around here.

I'm in Michigan...my oldest nurser is 3.5 and I tandem nurse with his sister who is 17mos. I know a few mom's in my area who nurse 3+ but not very many. I do believe that many more do than admit to...although I'm not sure why it'd be such a big deal. I assume mine will CLW together when they are ready.

I'm still nursing my oldest, she will be 4 in November. She shows no signs of stopping, is still quite passionate about her "nurnie." I've been tandemning about 1.5 years now. I also have two friends in Greenville, SC who are nursing their 3 yo's. I think we're around everywhere, but some of us don't come out unless we know it's safe territory.
