Can anyone throw a girl a bone here? I'm paying out the nose for my wool! LOL

I have no idea! I have good sources locally, so I haven't shopped it online at all. Although most of the stuff I buy isn't labeled.

I've seen merino wool on Fabric Row in Philly, but it's $25 a yard or more, definitely not wholesale!

Can you google on merino wool, and try to find a manufacturer? They you could contact them and get a sales rep?

I tried - they were all in India and Saigon! LOL

Even a co-op would be good!!

I don't HAVE to have Merino, I guess- just 100% wool

Lambkin just did a co-op on wool (look in yahoo groups for the group) you might e-mail and see if she has any leftovers.

Yikes, did you see the prices? $18.35 per yard, and that doesn't include shipping/customs from Australia!!!

yep - I contacted FOUR wholesalers and all of them had prices like that

There HAS to be a better way!!!!!!!!!

Even the co-ops I have found are outrageous - nothing like they *should* be for wool, yk?

Merino is expensive wool no matter where you buy it from. You'll find better pricing on other wool though
