Herbal remedies to seasonal allergies?

DP seems to have the worst allergies this season. He has resorted to using over-the-counter meds and this is only working somewhat. We've heard that local bee pollen will help, but how long does it take before he'll see an improvement? any other ideas for how to ease his allergy-suffering? Thanks!!!

I wish I could help, but mine were so bad I resorted to testing (turns out I'm super allergic, even to my cats) and ended up on rx meds. I feel better now than I have in a long time. It's hard to draw that line sometimes between non-medicating and needing to function well as a parent. Hugs!
