Oh my god - I did it! I want to shout from the rooftops, I did it! I gave birth to this beautiful creature with no drugs and no interventions! Wooo Hooo!
Nora Mae arrived after 14 1/2 hours of labor (with only about 2 being REALLY uncomfortable, well- the pushing was not so easy either) on Tuesday, September 18 at 10:22am.
7lbs 15oz.
I am slowly writing a birth story as my husband and I talk about what happened (I was in another world....).
Breastfeeding is definitely an art. We are working together and have lots of support from Daddy. We are learning!
Her cord fell off last night. Yay! She has a short torso and long legs... so her belly button is real low. I could only use the kissaluvs - they were the only thing in my stash that would go low enough to not touch her cord! That and a prorap cover after my milk came in and she could explosively pee and wet a diaper in 2 seconds flat!
Even though I haven't participated in a lot of the discussion, I have appreciated all of the information and support of this board.
Of course, it wouldn't be any fun without pics!
