2nd tri swap update thread! - Page 3

ScarletBegonias, I'm so glad you got the package, can't believe how quickly you got it!! I loved that journal, and I'm so glad that you like it as well - I wanted to get you a nice pen, but for me, pens are so personal in terms of what feels right in my hand, that I felt it wasn't a decision I could make for you. So go treat yourself to a nice pen to add captions to photos and journal and stuff with.

I had fun going on a buying spree for someone else - I didn't even have to feel guilty!

Love,
Mindi

Smokey Lo- Glad you enjoyed the package. I was hoping the colors of the bag were bright enough to not be considered girly! I figured I liked them and don't like girly things, so chances are you would too. Hope the bracelet fit too. I've never used the memory wire stuff even though it's been in my bead stash for awhile.

Have fun with the Burt's Bee's. I got a little sampler kit like that too and enjoyed being able to try everything out!

Nymph-Angelea- You did go overboard! I got the second package friday night! Thanks for the Magic Soap and tea. I love how the peppermint soap feels!

Got my package ....ages ago :...I've just not been on MDC very much lately.

Thanks Andrea!!! the soap, the creams... they're heavenly! The socks are great too, my DH says I look like something from Dr. Seuss when I wear them but they're super warm and ds gets a kick out of them.
Thank you for the bracelett as well ~ it was all very thoughtful. Sorry it's taken me so long to post.

I saw the package on my door step when we pulled into our drive way and jumped out of the car while it was still rolling (really slowly) and DH chided me... but I was so excited!
thank you a hundred times over! I love all of it! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Awww.... that makes me feel so nice. I'm so happy you liked everything! The calligraphy kit was best scrapbooking-related thing I could come up with--I'm not nearly organized enough to even understand the mind of a scrapbooker, much less be one .
Wow, it sounds like your swap gift was amazing and timely (From the 'thanks Dea' thread)!! Good for you!!

Happy 2nd trimester everyone!!

Thank you, nausicaamom!

I've been meaning to post my thanks. I got my package on Thursday, and everything was WONDERFUL. I am so touched that you must have been searching through my threads getting info on me, otherwise these is no way you could have picked just the things I was wanting. THANK YOU!

I got:

Kosher Tom's Toothpaste. I'm very happy about this since there aren't any kosher natural brands of toothpaste available here in Australia and I've been missing some of my American brands.

A Silky, Funky Hairband. Very pretty, I think I will have to either hide this from dd or fight her for it.

A Jar of Kosher Organic Coconut Oil. This is another thing I've been wanting to have, but had no kosher source for here.

A Hand Knitted Washcloth. I am guessing that you made this. It's so nice. A special luxury.

A Selection of Bath Products in a Hand Knitted Pouch. This is very sweet. I'm especially looking forward to a "pirate approved" bath with the Black Pearl Bath Bomb. I've already been enjoying the soap.

Some Great Socks. Fuzzy and warm brown striped socks. I love brown, so tell you son he chose well!

Hopefully I didn't forget anything. I might have, this package was so packed. I also have to say an extra thank you since my package was so much more expensive to ship than most probably were. Thank you.

I had a great time right before Shabbos (Friday night) trying out all this stuff. I really pampered myself. I used the washcloth and soap in the shower and then used the toothpaste. Yum! Then after I put on my robe, I put on my new socks. It was great!

Thanks!

I'm only guessing who my partner is and Helen says I'm mistaken, but whoevere you are, I just wanted to let you know not to worry about being a bit late and I'll let you know when it gets here.

I'm very bad at "thank you"s and acknowledging compliments, which is why I've been such a stand-offish stuck-up little b*tch around here lately.

Even without material objects just yet, I feel so spoiled and pampered and petted and appreciated that I just don't know how to deal with it.

I'm so glad you liked everything and that the package got there so quickly. I had a lot of fun "stalking" you trying to find the right things - I had more food but only one thing would fit in the box and a vegan friend of mine said that the coconut oil was definiitely the way to go. Again, I am so glad it was a good fit for you - I hope you continue to enjoy everything.

ScarletBegonias!

I got my package the other day! On my birthday in fact! Thank you so much! I loved the soft shirt! Its the first maternity clothing I've gotten this pregnancy! The candles are gorgeous, and the earrings are so pretty! The bag! How did you know I wanted a reusable bag like that??? We used it yesterday to bring our library books home. The magazine is awesome too!

My dd said the crystal was all hers. She loves to run around with it loving up on it. It will have a wonderful home on my altar.

Thank you again! I loved everything.

i'm so happy you liked everything! i had fun shopping for you, i hit all the cool, crammed little head shops and fair trade places in town. when i saw those earrings, well they just reminded me of you, Nature!

we have about 4 unschooling mags at work and i wasn't sure which one to get, it was a tough choice!

that's cool your dd was playing with the crystal, cuz i couldn't get it away from mine! i had to bribe her with some polished amethyst at the rock store.:

That is so funny! When your package came my dd said, "Oh thank you Mommy! A present for me!"

She put the crystal in the box the earrings were in, and then brought it to her creative playgroup class. She pulled it out for everyone to see and proudly said it was her new crystal!

apparently, it is a highly coveted crystal! a bright, intense pull for the small girl-child.

Yes, I am (!), but I have a question. I noticed in another thread that you are planning on giving something like what you gave me as a favor at your baby shower. You mentioned that the bag would have some "salt scrub". Is that what I have? I have the little container, but it says "Big Shampoo" on the label. It looks more like salt scrub, but is it for hair or body? I'm confused.
It's a sample of Lush's Big Shampoo - I lucked into a few things from there that I could toss in for good measure. Sorry for the confusion.
