My beautiful little girl, Chaya Marilyn, was born at home in the water on September 19, 2007 at 10:09 pm. Her EDD was Sept 6
Adjusting to mommyhood is incredible, the after effects of labor, birth, learning to breastfeed, dealing with pp hormones, constant visitors, and this amazing, beautiful little perfect girl! is a LOT to get used to.
I haven't been able to write about the birth yet (I get pretty emotional, and it's easier to work on the papers and exams that I have looming in the near future) but for the time being, suffice it to say that labor was FAST and intense (I went through transition in 15 minutes, total active labor from first twinge to the birthing push was about 6 hours) but we did it! She was a champ! And she's nursing like a pro.
blessings and good labor vibes to all the mamas still awaiting the arrival of their little angels.
