Do WAHMS like visitors? Who have you met?

I always dream about getting a chance to meet other diaper lovers IRL and was wondering who everyone here has had a chance to meet? I know some people have met each other.

Would a WAHM think I'm weird if I asked for an in-store tour?

I have met Elphaba, Chemigogo, Kindmomma and of course, sgreen (my best friend . . . ).

At least that is who I've met that are on these boards. I have talked cloth here and there, but not with addicts like here! :LOL

Replying as a WAHM here:
HECK NO we LOVE the visits.

It does several things, helps with friendships, puts names to faces, puts humans to names, helps the general public realize that we are human with a not so clean house and screaming filthy angelic children

It is simply a dose of reality for everyone involved, real time, real people, real friendships


As a customer I have a local wahm I hang out with and it's great to "learn" about her products from her.

I'd love visitors as a WAHM.... but.... I'd want some notice so I could CLEAN my SEWING ROOM

I love meeting customers/mamas face to face. I'd also love to meet another wahm to share ideas with, etc.

I had lunch with Amie from Wild N Wooly Goods yesterday (and of course her dh and beautiful little girl who has a head full of hair like my dd )
Ummm....I haven't met Kendell yet, but I"ve talked to her on the phone and "known" her online for around 3 years.
I"ve met, and become friends with Shannon that does KnickerNappies, her dd is the same age as mine.

welll i am good friends with both nancy from Rocking Horse Babies and Kelly from Snoodleduds.. they both live within 15 min from me Ive also met Colleen from natural babies a few times...

I dont mind visits as long as I have time to clean... LOL!

I want to visit the Happy Heiny lady and a whole bunch of customers I've made friends with. I would Love them to come visit me or sit down and have a cup of coffee with them and talk. We spend hours and hours emailing think of what we could accomplish in a hour real time?

I've hung out with Liz from Lizscloth a few times and just love her! It's really fun to talk about the changes in the diapering world since she started 4+ yrs ago as a wahm. And I love to have someone to share my nutty diapering obsession with!

I've yapped on the phone with plenty of others, but it just isn't the same as sharing a pot of tea (ok, it was diet coke, but I can dream!).

I love having customers over. (ok, it only has happened once but it was fun :LOL) Piglet68 came over with her dd and dh to discuss her custom order. She tried a few things on her dd, hung out and jabbered about cd's, mdc et al . I had time to clean, fortunately, but the sewing room was 'as is'. I took pics, but gotta clear it with Mariah before posting them

Last time we had the Vancouver MDC playgroup, I went to the beach with a huge bag of fluff and I didn't meet up with ANYONE! . I even laid all the stuff out on my stroller figuring anyone from here would spot it froma mile away:LOL No bites.

I would love LOVE LOVE to get together with other diaper wahms!
SOOOOO, anyone coming to Van in the near future? Maybe I should host a 'come as you are' tea party. "Must bring fluffies for fondling"

I have met my friend through her diaper business - babynaturale.com We bacame very good friends I think She is wonderful and we meet every week and have lots of fun!! And exchange products

I have met two mamas that post here on occassion. I went to their house. We had a diaper party! I had a visit from another mama that posts here on occassion, too. She has actually come to my house twice. I've had visits from other mamas as well. Probably a total of 5 in all. I am more than happy for someone to come over. I love it!

DH has been dying to go to Canada, this will be his excuse. Plus, I'd love to see you IRL and your diapers of course.

we are about an hour from you, so the trip wouldn't be so bad. Hey, you could get piglet to come too and we all could have lunch or something...wouldn't that be fun??

Oh man! I am sorry we just moved from Bellingham to GA!! I would have come up too!! I love Vancouver! What a shame! But we are coming back....it's gonna take while, but we are coming back to Bellingham!! Year or two.........

Who I met

I got to meet Susan of Lambkin and it was great! We went to HI to visit my brother and got to meet up with her - she is SO nice! It made me feel even better to meet a WAHM whose products I love and to see that she's just a nice as her products are beautiful!

Joleen from www.JoMamaCo.com is soming to visit me next weekend for the BFing Event in Berkeley. She'll be my first visitor. Time to get cleaning!!

I would definitely love to visit with other WAHMS. That would be fun. Lately I do most of my work from MIL's house though. Her house is MUCH cleaner than mine! And bigger... and nicer... in a better neighborhood...
