Getting closer...

It's not time yet... I'm sure of that... Well, at least *right now.* But I've had ctxs building in intensity over the last 3 days. No great patterns, but today they're a LOT stronger. I'm prepared that this may just be prodromal and go on for a few more days or a week or so. But these feel like "real" ctxs, to be sure - enough to give me a very clear recollection of labor last time! This afternoon they've been every 5 minutes or so and about 30 seconds long. Definitely not "labor" but getting closer!

I'm home now and will time a few more before I call my MW just to let her know we're doing *something*. I don't see her till Friday, unless baby decides to come tomorrow like I've thought s/he might!

I have a lot I need to get done, but with the ctxs I just want to try to relax through them, and then when they're gone it feels so good that I don't want to ..okay, back from another one... I don't want to do much between 'cause the relief is so sweet!

So I'm gonna call my mom to come help us get the house in order tonight and who knows, maybe in a couple of days we'll have our baby!

Aww, thanks mamas! Still contracting off and on... I talked to my MW which was nice. She's always encouraging, even if I can't make her tell me WHEN baby will come! And my mom's coming over shortly to help tackle the to-do list. My sister's coming to help, too! So hopefully we'll get some good stuff done tonight and then, who knows? MW said things generally pick up after dark, of course... So we'll see if anything more happens tonight, but I'm not counting on it just yet.

(Of course, last time, I wasn't counting on how far along I was and was SHOCKED when I actually pushed out a baby!! )

I've been feeling a little of the same and thought it might be this big fat moon we've got right now... oh PLEASE!!!! let's have some more babies!

Well we're pausing for dinner but my mom and sister have been here for several hours and my lists are shrinking! Yay!! I have fluffy goodness in the dryer and new blankets and gender neutral clothing in the wash. Clean sheets for the beds, a living room that no longer looks like a tornado hit it... Yes, things are looking good for baby to come!

The ctxs are still coming, sporadically. Still the good, strong "real" ctxs. I expect them to lighten up more when I go to bed, but as my MW said, that's often when things pick up. So I'll be getting some more work done before bed, but not so much that I'm exhausted. And perhaps baby will decide to come with tomorrow's full moon, like I've been saying for a couple of weeks!

Up way too early this morning... I should be in bed but I need to eat and the ctxs have been waking me. So DH is off to get me some good breakfast and then I'll go back to bed. They've been about 11min apart and quite strong, so that's good. That's similar to my pattern last time during the night with Iain. Baby is VERY low now but I can't tell if I'm dialating at all (more) yet. Regardless, there's a lot of progress to be made, but it seems baby will probably be here in the next 48 hours! (Which seems like a long time, but both of my previous labors have been over a span of 3 days... so while I've prayed for a gradual work-up and quick labor, I'm not counting on it being too different!)

It's exciting to think our baby will be "here" soon, but in some ways it's still hard to believe!! Last night, Iain (my 3yo) told me as we talked once more about baby coming and when... that after we get up today, he wants baby to come out. Who knows, maybe we'll do that!

Thank you, mamas! Still laboring slowly here... Par for the course, I guess. But still going, nonetheless, which is always good, right? Thankfully this means we'll get a few more things done around here and a few more commitments finished up before s/he comes.

My boys are getting really excited. Little one told me last night that after we got up (from bed for the night) he wanted to hold the baby. And now he's trying to nap and has spent more time with his head ON the pillow when he's started talking about wanting to hold the baby when he gets up, and wanting to put baby in the bassinet (after it's clean!).

Whew, well that one was good and strong and long... A nice break this afternoon with a nap had me thinking, "do I really have to do this?" But after waking (I must've been dreaming about baby) I really want this to keep going and see this baby soon!

I think we've hit a shift in ctxs, much stronger and longer... and I just feel different. I think we'll have a baby sometime tomorrow morning. MW is ready to come whenever I need her, but I don't think I need her yet. Getting everything ready and it's almost there, so that's very good... Hopefully will be back in the AM with a sweet babe in arms!!
