At 21 weeks, I think I look plenty pregnant but I still have people say, "Oh, I couldn't tell you were pregnant." I think they're trying to be nice but since I feel HUGE, I don't take it that way. I'm now telling people, "Yes, I'm pregnant, this isn't just a beer belly."

I'm starting to think that people have a really weird idea of what pregnancy is supposed to look like. Like maybe they think we're supposed to be sporting 8 month pregnant size bellies the entire time??

My younger brother has taken to giving me advise, which is irritating to all heck. He has a daughter so he *knows* everything that's going on in me. Which I know is pure BS since he was never around when his gf was pregnant and just was irritated with her if she ever complained. Arg.
I also get frustrated when my mom tells me what to expect or do. Granted she carried 2 children to term(ish) but she didn't take care of herself at all, by her own admission.
I guess I'm lucky though unless you know me you wouldn't have any idea that I am nearly 20 weeks, so I've been spared all of the stranger implications.

clobber away mama! but do ya see my point? I mean, come ON! my work had no idea until tonight(I'll be 20w in a day) and my neighbor thinks I'm ginormous???????? Give me a break! size is so subjective. no one should be allowed to tell a pregnant woman what they think of her size.

yep! HOnestly, at my job, people didn't even think to ask me if I was pregnant until tonight(and I'll be 20w on Saturday). And my work "uniform" is a black spandex shirt and black dress pants. It's a bit "showing" if I do say so myself! So I know what you mean. The only way I could make it in my size 6 The Limited pants is with a bella band!
