So, my belly is hypersensitive. This is not on the area of the incision, but basically my whole belly below my belly button. Is this a usual experience post-c-section? If so, how long should I expect it to be so sensitive? TIA.
totally normal....i'm 9 weeks out and still have the feeling sometimes. It can take up to a year for all those nerves to come back together, but you should be feeling pretty normal by the 3 month mark!
I had a c/s with DS1, and it is normal. Even 18 months and one VBAC later, it doesn't feel 'right' under the incision. I'm told it eventually goes away.
I am completely numb in some areas under my belly button. It sucks because I developed a yeast rash there and couldn't even feel it until it got really bad.
I had 18 months of daily pain following my c/s. Then went to acupuncture and that helped a lot, though I still didn't have full feeling back. After my 2nd pregnancy, I got more feeling back, and now at 4.5 years following my c/s (and an HBAC) I have most sensation back and my scar only itches/bothers me when it is raining (although it is still sensitive with direct pressure).
