Hi, can I join in? I'm only skimming the previous pages because I need to go write, dangit! But I checked in on the thread over there, too. I've done NaNo twice before. Once with barely an idea, and was glad to finish and win, once with mad outlining and character dev and was pretty happy with the first draft... and now I'm doing the sequel to that and have sorta massive brainstorming ideas. Maybe it'll turn out JUST RIGHT

Of course I have a 6 month old who NEVER gives me a break (I get like ten minutes of naptime before she gets to wiggly and needs the boob in her mouth) so we'll just see how it goes this year! I was getting really exasperate yesterday thinking I should just quit before I started, but then sweet DH figured out I was going to have a meltdown if he didn't care for DD for more than ten minute intervals, so that should get me some time on the weekends and some nights.

Yay, NaNo time! Wheeee!

ETA: oh yeah managed 2226 last night! At first it seems dreadfully slow, and then the ball rolls and if I didn't have to get up with DD, I coulda done a 5k day like I used to... I don't think I'll be doing any 10K saturdays at the coffeehouse anymore tho!

How are you guys adding to your "writing buddies" list? I can't find the author search button.

I never really check the forums much over there but if anyone is interested I'm http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/222056

(word count updated obsessively )

My stats class was canceled today (( happy dance! )) so I sat in the library for three hours and wrote! Omg major flow, it was just incredible. This story is coming from Somewhere Else entirely, you know? I feel like I'm just this conduit and the story is just rushing through me. WHAT A RUSH!!! Totally awesome.

I kicked off my first nanowrimo at the beach in Mexico at my sister's wedding. Yeah! I'm writing! About 15 handwritten little pages so far of my recent historical fiction. I love just letting it write itself. Still no plot, but I think one's on the way
