Kids ALL allergic to our dog!

Has anyone had to get rid of their dog?? I feel so awful, he is 12 years old.. But all 4 of our kids are allergic to him! We have known for a while but it is getting much worse and even the baby (6 mons) is allergic! We have tried to have him be an outside dog but he whines and barks.. Anyone else had to deal with this..I just don't know what to do

We just got rid of one of our cats and are looking for a home for the other. I've had these cats longer than I've had kids! Turns out though I'm highly allergic to cats, who knew. I said I'd get rid of them if the kids were allergic so I felt I owed myself that same respect. Lots of hugs, it's killing me inside and Evan still asks everyday where Salem is. I don't know what's going to happen when we get rid of the one they really like.

It depends on how sick he is making everyone.

There are ways to control it, but it takes a commitment. Bathe dog weekly, no dog in bedrooms, etc
