Good Grief, Murphy showed up....

Of course, the month things are really tight our van completely stopped running (While dh was taking the boys to school this morning) :

So I am trying to look on the bright side. I stopped at the garage to see who I could call to tow it and met my cousin there who was stopping to get HER car towed that stopped working last night The garage arranged to have them both picked up at the same time (Save a little on the bill)

The person who let dh leave the van in their driveway knows my family, his wife worked with my g-pa and they said how wonderfully the boys behaved while they were waiting for me to come pick them up. She gave me a hug when we left

My g-ma has a car but doesnt drive, so we are able to use it until the van is fixed, so dh got the boys to school this morning AND made it to the place he is applying for a job.

Now.....havent heard from the garage though. That could really ruin all my good feelings We think its the alternator, which wouldnt be too awful much to fix. We can handle $500.00. I just hope they dont come back and say $2000.00! We would be screwed!

Good ole Murphy.

Well....no luck! Turns out the motor seized up and we are looking at at least $1,500.00 to get a new one. : One step forward, 6 steps back, sheesh.

I am so sorry! My brother is going through something similar with his vehicle and it's really rough.
