dd, 27 months, is throwing up for 2 days, with tummy ache, clammy, bad breath, crying, no fever. Started AFTER going a somewhat hard poop (hard to say, she is potty learned, but hadn't gone poop day before, couldn't).
Doc tested for UTI, totally negative except some trace blood, which he said was nothing, very common. Then tested for strep, negative. He thinks it is constipation, said to try prunes and prune juice and if she doesn't start pooping with that, try polyethylene glycol, but he knows I'm not ready to jump to that. But she doesn't have much on her stomach because she was puking it up undigested. He says we'll see after she poops how she is, but he hesitates to think celiac or food allergy (he brought it up).
The reason it worries me is because this it the 5th time in a month that she has complained of stomach pain. First was she woke up and threw up and felt poorly. Then was fine. 5 days later had a fever of 103 and no symptoms until fever dropped to 101 and then she complained of stomach pain. Then she was fine. Then she complained about stomach pain for 3 days and then again for a couple of days. Then fine for about a week except for very clingy and a bit cranky (I chalked up to changes in 2 year old, but generally she is a very cheery kid). Then the slight constipation and the next day pain and puking, where we are now.
It is so hard for me to see her in this pain, but also I am scared.
