I will check out getting a birth ball tonight. I used to have one, but it got lost w/all our recent moving.

Gosh, where is my head? Hmmm...I don't know. Let's go with tomorrow the 5th...I'm losing a little faith though!

I think this is stressing dh out a bit. Between contractions going since Monday and the kids we have not sleeping well and a new babe on the way. I don't know what's going on! : I know I can do this, but not when dh and I aren't ok

You CAN do this.

Get your husband back in the game! Maybe some action would make him feel better? Also, you know what they say about prostaglandin and semen... Eh, eh, nudge, nudge.

I keep checking. Your baby will be here soon enough and I can't wait to read your birth story.

i've just read all the pages of this thread and WOW at the strength and courage you have i just love MDC

you can do this...maybe the baby is waiting for mommy and daddy to get back on the same page and, what the heck i'll go against everyone and say its a boy, and then he can come out and enjoy the world

keep the faith

i'll be praying for you :

Just to clarify.......no ob or midwife would ever change you due date based on an ultrasound done at 40+ weeks. Ultrasounds done later in pregnancy can be off by 3 or more weeks in regards to dating. If you're trying to accurately figure out when your real due date is you would be better off going by your ultrasound that you had at 12 weeks. Ultrasounds done in the first trimester are usually accurate date wise within a week.

If you think you could....

As for due date:
What is your intuition saying? I do know that Ultrasound is not reliable for due date after the first trimester, I'm not sure why they "gave" you a new one. I would think your intuition in this situation is far more important.

As for your DH, I'm really sorry about that. He'll probably do a lot better once your in Labor, although, a UC could totally freak him out. There's no one to look to for re-assurance in an authorotative way.

You might want to have a really honest conversation about this. You don't want a DH who starts to freak and ask you to go to the hospital because he's so worried. It would be bad for him (such worry is terrible) and it would be bad for you and the baby. It sounds like you need to deal with that.

Hmmm....You'll be fine, babies always come out. Is the baby having a good amount of movement?

I had an early ultrasound at 12 weeks and it said Sept. 14th, however, they don't have these records. Even if it's off by 3 weeks, they will be calmer with Oct. 1st than Sept. 12th!

I would do the nipple stimulation (it won't work if you're not ready) and consider going on a great big walk. Consistant contractions might warrant some gentle birth progressors.

Hey Crystal. Dh is fine w/UC. I think he's just freakin' out about having so many young kids! 4, 2 and newborn is a lot! Baby is moving a ton as I type this. I keep feeling the baby "trying" to get into a better position down there. I stayed really active today...up and down, walking, etc. My intuition has been saying the same thing...baby is fine and taking time. However, I am beginning to wonder what is keeping baby from coming. I keep talking to the baby, looking in myself. I am so ready! Maybe dh isn't and it's his energy? Who knows. I go to the back up midwife tomorrow to get the full sono report. I'll let you know more then.

BTW I am totally aware that an ultrasound later isn't accurate...I think sonos are never really accurate, just this one works in my favor...shows that everything is healthy and baby isn't huge (even though that can be off too). It's more like the sono is for everyone else around me. I already knew everything was good.

Oooohhhh...getting another contraction right now...and the thigh pressure...wooh! I wish these would turn into the real thing! But for now I'm really tired...so going to keep up on my rest....

"via a UBA2C!"

maybe that's what baby is waiting for

Oh good!

I'm wating for the baby to come out, it's so exciting! I can imagine a take-your-time birth with young kids would be daunting

Hey, what are names that you have thought of ?(if you don't mind sharing.....)

Just to clarify...yes they will. I went in for an appt. w/my back up care today and that's exactly what they did! :They actually changed me from 43 weeks to 37 based on the size of the femur. Can you believe it? We were all excited about it though, b/c we knew we'd be left alone now. Everyone is relaxing around me. I know my dates are NOT that far off. My baby needed longer, like many others might. What a testament that we should leave pregnancy alone and trust these babies!

Gumby...that's a good idea. I think I will!

Crystal...we were thinking Annabelle or Luke, but now we are also thinking of Tuscany for a girl and Trystan for a boy. I have no idea. The baby will have to tell us! I can't wait to meet him/her.

Ok mamas, for the last hour I have had contractions 5-7 minutes apart instead of my last 5 days of 10 minutes. I'm not getting excited or convinced though...after all this prodromal (sp) labor. I've lost 3 mucous plugs this week! Maybe with everyone calming down and releasing negative energy around me, it will happen. I haven't had a drink in 5 years and I told dh to go to WF and get some organic red wine b/c I need things to stop so I can sleep. Also, the spa isn't clean for me...so with all this, watch, tonight will be the night! Geesh. I'll keep you posted of course. Thanks for the support once again!

StacyL...If I still am by Monday or if I need him this weekend I have his home number...I am always up for another adjustment!

Come on baby...come meet your mommy and daddy!

Thanks so much for your hugs January! I really, really needed them tonight!

It really sounds like you might have a little bundle next time we hear from you! I sure hope it's this weekend- for both of us

I did have an ultrasound for 'dating' I thought I was 23 weeks when I had it but they 'dated' me at 17 weeks and that was May 1st. Since it was 2nd trimester I swore up and down and told my midwives and everyone that there was NO WAY that could be right... even geared up mentally for UC in case my midwives would not attend early... uhhh... now I'm past that due date!!! And my first came early too!

Anyhow, enough about me- I truly hope you're nak next time we hear from you. And I hope labor is contagious!

love and blessings- you rock mama!

Following along! I am 42 + 4 days and feel great although obviously my head wanders b/c I want to hold my baby!!!!!

My mw is super supportive and I am going to talk to her tomorrow. If I have the baby tomorrow it will have the same birthday as ds!

hang in there flowers!

Oh my gosh this is a saga. You should write an article when this is done. Hang in there I had a UC 9 days after my due date and I was going loopy each day that passed. You are amazing to go this far over without going crazy.

Not sure if this is relevant but my mother was due with me Octobrt 5th and I was born October 28th. They were going to induce but she went into labor on her own the indution day. I was her third child to.
