Finally....
Hey mamas! We finally had our baby girl today! At 43+ weeks, Annabelle Catherine joined our family at 7:20 am. She is only 5 lbs 9 oz, but still 19 inches long with a 13 inch head. Ok ladies, she was born VAGINALLY! I had my VBA2C in a
hospital! Can you believe it? I was right about following my intuition. I'll get back on later and post more, but after a few days of constant back labor, I knew that I needed some pain relief to give her a change to finish turning and come down. We came to the hospital and I had an epi for about 4 hours. She turned ANTERIOR, moved down and I finished dilating. Then, we let her labor down w/my uterus and contractions all on her own. My water broke on it's own as well. We turned off the epi about 1 hour before pushing until I got all my feeling back (don't know if that was a good idea

). I pushed for little under an hour...that hurt like a b#tch! I'll have to post more details later, but midwife showed up at the end and I pushed her out. I couldn't believe it. My dh was so excited and proud of me! No c/s!!!!!! My body works!!!! I tore and bled a lot, but all is well. We have of course had to deal w/some hospital protocols, but all in all it is well.
Listening to our intuition even when it's not what we want to hear is so important. Thank you mamas for all of your support. I can not believe she is hear and she came out of my vagina...and at a hospital!
I'll post a detailed birth story when I can, but following this thread you all get the idea now!
Love you guys,
January
