Oh, and when dd was a newborn, we weighed her at the grocery store in the produce scale. We got really strange looks.

Birth: 4100 grams (9 lbs)

4 weeks: 4500 g. (9lbs. 14 oz)

6 weeks: 4940 g. (10lbs. 14 oz)

So far he is way outgaining his big sister. She was 8lbs 7 oz at birth, and took a whole month just to get back there. She was probably 3 or 4 months before she hit 10 lbs!

He's almost 8 weeks old now and I have no idea how much he weighs. He started off slow - didn't gain any weight the first 3 weeks and then he took off. I had him weighed last time at 5 weeks old and he was 10lbs, 2 oz (8.15 at birth) and now I would guess he's about 12-13lbs. He's almost outgrown size 1 diapers! His 2 month WBC is next week so I'll find out how much he weighs then.

dang...this is the first baby I have had in a long time that hasn't gained super fast(good for my back which is spasming all the time).

She was born 8/11 and weighed 8,8 she was 7 weeks last sat and weighed 10,6. She is still pretty little. But geting lots of cute rolls. LOL

DD was born at 7 lbs even. By the next day, she was down to 6 lbs., 12 oz. By 1 w, she had surpassed her birth weight. At 4 w she was 8 lbs., 11 oz. When last weighed, at 6 w, 6 d, she was 10 lbs., 11 oz. (with clothes on...But remember, cloth dipes weigh something).

So I posted before about Aili's quick weight gain at 10 days. I thought it was related to the glucose IV in the NICU. Well, I was wrong.

Birth: 7 lb 1 oz
10 days: 8 lb 4 oz
4 weeks: 10 lb 3 oz

Yes, she's a little chunker. I can't believe she's gained 3 lbs in a month!!

At birth: 8lbs 9 oz.
At 4 weeks: 10 lbs 8 oz.
At 8 weeks: 15.5 lbs!!! Yes, I'm serious. My baby looks like the Michelin Man.

OK I have the super chunk of the century:

7#6oz. at birth.

16#12oz. at 9 weeks old (pedi office weight last week - he was born at 38 wks) & 24 inches long.

Most of his 3-6 month clothes don't fit anymore and we're using premium PFs. His fluffy butt makes him look even bigger!

Totally, EBF!

Updating on my little one since we had our two month visit today:

Birth: 7,5
6 weeks: 12 (huge gain!)
9 weeks: almost 13 --so his gain has slowed a little. Probably good, he's getting heavy to sling around already!

I think the initial big gain is related to my oversupply of milk, which is starting to slow down a little. Anyone else have this experience?

Yep - I finally figured out the foremilk imbalance & block feeding after several weeks of 1+ pound gains.

Noah was 8 weeks on Friday- we had his appontment today.

At birth he weighed 7 lbs 6 oz
He is now up to 10 lbs 7 oz

I thought that seemed pretty good, but reading through the posts, he seems a bit "skinnier" than most of yours. Now I have to combat worrying that my breastmilk isn't good enough

Kaia is 15 wks and 2 days old and weighs 11 pounds. She was 5lbs 10oz when she was born though (39 weeks and 4 days), so she is probably smaller then the 'average' baby - most people estimate that she is younger then she is.

Travis is 3 1/2months old and 11lbs 7ounces, he was 6lbs 14oz at birth. He's on the smallish side I guess, but my dd was 12lbs 6ounces at 6 months and my first ds was 17lbs at 4 months, so I only have the two extremes to compare it to, he's huge compared to his sister and tiny compared to his brother.

We weighed a week or so ago (before the 3 month mark...just don't know when ) and she was 12 lbs. 6 ounces.

Nathaniel was born on 8/20 at nine pounds. Yesterday he was 14 pounds three ounces. He is 24 inches long now. He lost a pound in October when he needed surgery.

We think his weight is good.
