Wanna hear another rude one??

Thread Starter
On the grocery parking lot earlier as I was walking with my 2 boys. A woman crosses my path and says, pointing at my belly:"Hopefully there isn't another boy in there, huh?"
I was baffled...I just stammered:"O, yes, we're having another boy!"

Think about all the things I want to say when I hear rude comments but when you're in the situation your mind goes blank. I am thinking about making a Tshirt: Yes, there's another boy in there and No, I won't return him! or something like that....: :

Some people just lack any form of tact, I swear.

I was at the airport with my 3 kids and the one in my belly, and a skycap said to me, "You know, you and your husband could learn to watch TV."

Ha, AT CHURCH the other day an older lady looked at my belly and said 'Are you just gonna keep doing that forever?' with a look of complete disgust on her face and disgust in her voice. I almost said, 'Well, I hope we keep having sex forever.' I barely stopped myself in time.

I could not believe she said that!

BaaHaaHaa! Now I would love someone to say that to me! That's funny!

Dh keeps telling people "I can't figure out what is causing this..." Cracks me up every time.

To the boy comment I would have said proudly "Why yes, this is boy number 9! I left the other 6 at home with their father."

The new young receptionist at my ND said to me as i walked it "She said you were ready to pop." indicating my pregnant state. I told her that was considered a rude comment and was rather crass. She was totally appologetic and tried to justify it 'i meant it in a good way' but i was pretty 'cool' to her and just let her talk, not saying 'oh, it's okay...' let her learn, young girl... learn well.

2bluefish - if only we all could come up with appropriate comments as quippy as you on the spot! "I left the other 9 at home" - SOOO FUNNY! a whole new forum should be created for 'things to say when' so we can have some good come-back lines when people are obnoxious and say thoughtless things.

I get that all the time since I have 2 girls already. They say "oh you FINALLY got your boy, are you done NOW?" Nope, still want another one and sex does not mater to me. I would be proud to have 4 girls, people are so lame.

Yeah, I have yet to figure out why people think it matters what gender your kids are. I mean, I would love to have a son, but I also love having daughters. I just love having healthy kids, period. Frankly, I have more of a gender preference when it comes to my dogs and cats than when it comes to my kids.

Funny, but now that I am just carrying one, people no longer seem to feel the need to ask me if we are done. Maybe because three is acceptable? Who knows...

It is so hard to come up with a funny on the spot - sometimes I pull out a good shocking though, and it always cracks people up cause I'm usually quiet.

We seem to have the opposite problem - people keep telling us we should have more - dh gets really agitated and tells me he doesn't know how people think we are supposed to pay for all these children they want us to have on one income. I laugh at him and tell him to just take it as a compliment!
