This from my 5yo. :
I love his love of learning.
Yet another thing to show that we made the right decision.

My 6yo asks me, "When are we going to do my math?" and if we get too busy to do it one day, he says, "Mama, we forgot to do my math" in that tone that means, "and we better not forget again!"

I love this age! He went from reading and math to mud. He spent an hour digging a canal to connect his home-made lake to his new mud pit.
Now he's in the bath, using the edge as a racetrack for his cars.
Its so funny because I try ot plan about an hour of stuff in a day, and somedays its too much and we leave it for another day, and others its not enough so I break out the next day's stuff.
I think I'm giving up on planning! Every time I come up with a plan, I have to scratch it anyway.

I hear this, too.

A discussion last week:

Bean: (climbing next to me) Hi mom. Let's do school now.
Me: I'm starving, I was just getting up for something to eat.
Bean: Well I just *had* something to eat and I want to do school. We haven't done math today.
Me: We'll do some after I eat.
Bean: Okay, I'll just follow you to make sure that you remember.
