I'm here too...

Official due date in the 22nd....2nd baby. I was 38 weeks with my first...I'm ready now at 37 weeks or anytime before DD!!!

I'm still here! Nearly 36 weeks. Just telling her to stick around till at least 37, but not sure she's listening. As of last week's check up (went ahead and got checked, since I'd been contracting like mad), I was 25%, VERY ripe, and things have been even busier since, so who knows.

Though the lil stinker has been in perfect position for months, but now suddenly keeps flipping. In the last two days, she's been breach, transverse, and back in place, repeatedly Keep telling her no contractions allowed unless she's head down lol

Hi,
I am here too although I never expected not to be. I am almost 39 wks with baby #3 and have gone "over" with both previous pg. however, in the past week I can now barely walk, have hemorrhoids and am so completely exhausted and done by about 4:00 pm every day that I can't help but think I won't go over too much. We shall see.... peaceful end of pg and birthing wishes to us all

peace

36w, 5days here and no signs of anything happening.

Which is good, because we're so NOT ready at all.

Baby's definitely finally head-down, but we're still feeling like s/he's posterior.

I'm working on getting him/her to rotate a bit, as I'm not into the idea of back labor.

Hopefully s/he'll wait until after the 14th or so, as there are a couple of events this month that I'd hate to miss if I didn't have to do so. And I still have STUFF to do to finish getting ready! hehe

Fingers crossed that your baby turns head down for you as well.

I too am beginning to accept that a c/s birth is a possibility/probability because despite my attempts at getting her to turn nothing is working. Not even for a moment.

She has been breech constantly, never head down and I have to wonder if there is a physical reason as to why ... not "oh she's just comfortable that way".

I had a really nice dream this morning. I dreamt that she was here and I was breastfeeding her and trying to get her to latch on

Cherubess, my second baby was breech at 36 weeks, and I went to a lady who practiced Chinese medicine. She did all kinds of things, like acupuncture and craniosacral work, but the main "turn the baby" trick she had was doing moxibustion. Your partner or a friend holds a burning bundle of herbs near your pinky toes for about 5 min, 2 (?) times a day (it's been a while). All I know is, by 37 weeks, the baby was head down. Maybe this is something you could try?

Sorry to hear about the positions you breech mommas are in. Luckily they can turn right up into labor. I hope they do, to make things easier for you.

It sucks that doctors are not more comfortable with vaginal breech deliveries these days. Both my DH and I were both born vaginal breech during the 70s without any resulting complications. What are the odds, huh?

and I am SO done being pregnant atm... my mom was going to come up for the weekend right after the baby is born, but she can only come up this coming weekend, or not until the beginning of November I'm only 38+2wks atm though so I don't think I'll be going into labor before Friday. W/ my last I went into labor on 40 wks exactly, so no early outs here.

Still pregnant here. Almost 38 weeks and counting down. Had first weird pulling sensations down there and believe it might be related to the baby dropping!?

I thought it was so funny when I read the title to this thread days ago. Now that it's October, I'll jump in! I'm due the 10th, but we've always had a feeling about October 2nd. There's a thunderstorm this evening, so we'll see. I've been having bad cramps and pains for a while now, and I'm wondering, "um...how long can this last?" Trying to enjoy these last days of pregnancy, but it's getting hard...

still pregnant here, i'm 36 w 3 d. at the midwife today we checked my cervix and i'm 1 cm dilated, thinning and she could feel my baby's head! i'm so jealous that she could feel her! i'm now alternating between "yay! we're going to have a baby!" and "OH MY GOD! we're going to have a baby!?!"

you would think i would have had enough time to get used to the idea, but it's starting to feel really close. even though i'm due on the 27th, my midwife seems to think we'll not go past that, so less than 4 weeks? eiyee!
