I'm so annoying.

I swore that when I got this far along (39w) I would NOT do that thing where, with every little twinge or symptom, I'd get all excited and think, "omg, this is IT! I'm going into labor! I'm going to have this baby today!"

Psht. I'm totally doing it. :

I had some cramps last night and I was like, Well, CLEARLY I'm in early labor and the baby will be born today. HA.

I've been having diarhhea and I'm like, Well, OF COURSE, my body is cleaning itself out because I'm going to go into labor and the baby will be born today. HA.

STOP ME! This baby will come when she's ready! I'm not even "due" yet! MAKE ME STOP!

Yup, I have been having waves - not sure if braxton hicks or prodromal labor all through the evening, not timing them, but it is all planned out in my mind - idealistically, I will continue having the waves all night, they will increase around... 4am, 5am I will call my mom and my grandma. Grandma will pick up dd around 5:30 - 6am, I will go to birth center w/ mom, give birth by.... 2-3pm.

Oooops I should be sleeping if this is my plan!

I love you mamas!

On the other hand, I am doing it but with a, "Oh no! Not yet!!! I still have two more weeks!!!"

hahaha, yup, 39 weeks here and doing the same with with the BHs and prodromal labour. Plus DP is working 2 hours away from here and doesn`t drive so I`m constantly thinking . . . if I call him now, he can catch the whatever-o`clock-bus and then I`ll be in xyz stage of labour by the time he gets here. . .

Honestly though, since this is my first, I just think I`ll be pregnant forever. I can`t fathom giving birth (and I`ve been to dozens of births as a student mw, so how`s that for ridiculous? )

soon. . . right?

last time I felt like I'd be pg forever and didnt think it was 'real' until it had been going on for over 24 hrs, and then after 3 days of labor told DH that I was comfortable going another 24 hrs before we may need to consider going to the hospital (just because I was starting to get tired from lack of sleep/active labor) We were even joking about missing monday night football, at some point around 3:30pm. I had DD at 4:30.

But this pregnancy, I am just ready to be done already, and keep thinking about how to best get it over with asap. I wont actually do anything to make it come faster, but after the doctor issues I've had and trying to chase a 2 yr old, and just in general feeling like crud... I'm really ready to have this baby on the outside, so I can pass her on to DH and get some sleep. (note that its 3am and I'm on the computer and not on my bed!)

Um, yeah. I'm here too. I can't sleep. I feel like I'm going to puke if I lie down and my legs feel like the muscles are shrinking. My belly, on the other hand, is mildly doing the kind of thing it's been doing for days... mildly enough that it isn't by any stretch what's keeping me awake. I want to be sleeping! :

I'm only @ 35 weeks but will most likely be doing the same thing a couple weeks from now. It is o.k, you are excited!

I'm no help, I'm 36 weeks and notice every tiny change. I was supposed to ignore everything this time - I can't; I'm just aware. Guess that's a good thing...

Hee hee! Me too!

Every day Ellen and I have a "talk" about how she just needs to stay in until 37 weeks so we can have her at home! Only three days till that mark! (Of course, once we hit it and relax, she will probably get comfy for another three weeks... )

Oh, but that's the fun part! The suspense!

So today I feel like I have the flu/cold-achy, tired tired tired, nauseous. Could be the lack of sleep last night, could actually be me catching the cold dh and dd have already had. Or apparently, it could be an early labor sign: http://pregnancy.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Labor_Symptoms

Guess which option I'm obsessing about?
