Had the yard sale today so most of the stuff I decluttered last month is gone now. Tomorrow we'll haul the rest off to Salv. Army. Hopefully Monday I'll hear something back about the house and I can really get busy around here!

I'm not sure if I posted in this thread yet. I'm continuing my Sept. goals. We did a huge amount of good decluttering this weekend.

- closed up the pool for the winter
- weeded kitchen garden and disposed of weeds
- started making cold frames for kitchen garden (tidy! simple! useful!)
- dumped wheelbarrow full of yard junk from a long-ago project
- cleaned out car
- cleaned out half of the garage to make space for stuff to Craigslist
- moved three 4-drawer filing cabinets to space in garage, along with changing table and four strollers for Craigslist
- filled car with recycling and things-to-give-to-friends-this-week
- cleaned most of the clutter out of driveway area directly in front of garage
- moved boys' bunk bed out of family bedroom and into space previously occupied by the filing cabinets that are now in the garage. Moved desk from playroom into boys' new room, leaving more space in playroom.
- moved stuff around in family bedroom (minus bunkbeds), and it feels so much emptier now, in a good, uncluttered way.
- decluttered random stuff in kitchen, living room, and playroom
- cleaned out fridge

Whew! I was glad DH was in a project-y mood. Usually I'm the only one. I love this time of year. I didn't get any one area truly and completely clutter-free, but I made significant headway in nearly every room in the house. I'm looking forward to keeping the momentum up this week.

I have never posted here before but due to a recent break up I am moving from a 2 bedroom townhouse back in with my parents since I am 3 months pregnant and will be in school for about a year and a half starting in January. Anyway, needless to say I must get rid of a LOT. I am selling all my big cheap furniture, most of which I got free in college. I am keeping a few pieces. I am also going through EVERYTHING before I put anything away at my mom's. Just here looking for support.. I have a hard time throwing things away but I love the feeling afterward!!!

Joining a bit late - but my goal is 200 things out of here by way of garbage,donating, freecycling selling

I want to go through mine & DH's closet - its a wreck.
Garage - I want to sell our bike trailer & bikes - its waaaay to freakin hot here - They will never get used. I also have a carseat & a treadmill I want to sell. Hopefully it will all go quickly.
Kitchen gadgets - I'm addicted to pampered chef.
Misc hiding out in the bottom of E's closet
Our longterm goal is to par down get out of debt and build a smaller, green home on land. Might as well get use to less -

How are you all prepaing or the holiday season - Our families our very good to E & us but it gets a little nuts!

*organizing a skip bin (dumpster) for early next week as well.. *maniacal laugh* now that most of the stuff that someone else could use is out, that baby's gonna fill UP.

I'm loving this challenge.. but what happens when I'm done with all this stuff? lol

cleaned out the kids card drawer, got rid of like 5 decks w/ missing cards
also cleaned out the miscellaneous small junk toys drawer

finally threw out the box of pantyliners that i wont be using ever and that have been played w/ by kellen so much i wouldn't want a guest to use them either, its not like menstrating women ever visit long enough to need more product anyway

all together today yielded 31 items for my tally
