Cloth Diaper Question

If you expect your babe to be between 7lbs and 8lbs (going off of my last 2 babe's at their born on weight) what diapers have you gotten? My mom wanted to get me a few and I was going to get her to get their new one sizes, but I know they dont fit right away and the ones I want are out of stock atm.

I'm thinking Happy Heiny brand because i love them so much, but wasnt sure if I should get sherpa fitteds or hemp fitteds or xs pockets or small pockets or what. I do know that I dont like fitteds with my toddler because they seem so messy but she moves so much that it may be easier with a newborn?

My mom isnt getting me a ton of them or anything, but I'm just excited that I get to pick out SOMETHING. I think she's going to get us some of the OS's for Christmas, which should be plenty of time for them to fit right? (they go from small to large so not xsmall) I started CDing with my DD when she was in larges so never dealt with this before.

I've got a ton of kissaluv 0's, some small fuzzibunz and a couple of small swaddlebees pockets. I'm pretty sure we'll outgrow those ks 0's fast though!

I'm new to : but I bought a variety to try out. Just going off of look and feel I think the kissaluvs 0 and BumGenius all-in-ones xs seem like the nicest ones and also perfect fits for most newborns.

For the early days I have prefolds for daytime and a few pockets for nighttime. I got mostly size small prefolds and covers, but I do have a few XS of both. I have xs and small pockets. I don't anticipate needing the XS/newborn sizes very long. DS1 didn't stay in the newborn size sposies for more than a couple days.

I have two dozen fitteds from Tykie Fitteds. I loved her fitteds with my daughter and just went all in for my newborn stash with her. I also have a couple of AIOs that were too cute to pass up. But I have a lot of wool and some PUL covers as well.

I think we'll be going with Happy Heiny's for the medium size, though. We only really used mediums with our daughter (who were started in cloth at 7 month) because we potty trained before she reached 25 lbs.

Fitteds are beautiful on a newborn. They're so soft and sweet.
Muttaqinbaby is stocking tomorrow.

I love Tykie fitteds too, but that'd take a few weeks to get a custom. Too long.

I have both Xs and small prefolds and covers. They look very small indeed and I am pretty sure, I will have some cd messes before I get the hang of it.

I went with infant prefolds and covers with DS#1 till he was into mediums and doing the same with this one except I added wool and Kissaluvs 0's and 1's cause I heard they hold the newborn poop so well. I did happy heiny pockets for medium stage and mudpie baby, and very baby for medium - large stage with some fitteds and wool mixed in.

I got all smalls and 38 prefolds b/c i didn't want to spend a ton on stuff he's outgrow in a week. Sis said they'd be a little big but if I had snappis to help hold in the poo i'd be good to go.

I got muttaqin, righteous baby fits like a mitten, and kindhearted woman mostly. All of these are more absorbent than kissaluvs, stay softer after washing, and have perfect fits. After these we are going into righteous baby size 1. I don't like one size on newborns at all. But, after the baby is a few months old they are okay.
