I am 15 mo. post partum (sorry I don't know all the appreviations) and no signs of AF. I've had some signs (moodiness, odd crampy feeling, etc) so I'm charting, but no CM and no real pattern to temps. But I've had a yeast infection that won't quit. I read somewhere that one period of susceptibility to yeast overgrowth is pre-menstral because of hormones. So now I'm wondering if this is a sign of coming return to fert. or maybe my hormones are unbalanced because DD is such a nursing fool? Has anybody heard of yeast infec. prior to return of fert. or relating to the hormonal changes of bf and such? None of my fert. awareness books say anything on the matter. Thanks, violet

I have never heard this but who knows.
Just wanted to mention that when you have a yeast infection make sure you chart that and also you will not be able to accuratly read your cm since it is masked by the infection so to be safe you must assume fertility.
Hope your feeling better soon. Yeasties suck!

Oh, I know this thread is really old...
I just experienced the return of my fertility at nearly 27 months post partum. My first ever yeast infection onset about 5 days before ovulation. You can see my chart here: http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/home/11cdf
Did your fertility end up returning with the yeast infection?
Fascinating!

Wow, this is an old post. If I recall, I had yeast on and off for several months until my fertility returned at 19 months. I am prone to yeast so there's no way of knowing if it was hormones or my own imbalance. However, in that time, I did start to notice fertility cycles with no ovulation - it was like my body was getting ready to start, but never had the full hormone shift to achieve ovulation. So maybe it was hormones. After DS, I regained fert at 9 mo with no yeast, but at 14 mo - after 5 cycles - Yeast!! and right before my period started which is the classic hormone induced time to get yeast. Go figure. Good luck.
