Plady~ we buy skippy natural sometimes...it has palm oil in it....not too much better than transfats if you read up on it. I try to buy the good old stir the oil into it completely natural pb as much as possible. My kids really like the texture of the bad-for-you pb though so I try to compromise as much as possible.

I ran 3 this morning, and I'm headed out the door for DD's appointment with the ENT doc about her huge tonsils. I'll let you know how it goes.

Oh...eksmom to you and I need to PM you. I'm running the Houston Marathon in January....I must look up the actually date.

I got a good fast 4 miler in on Saturday and a short 3 miler in this morning.

How far behind is Chicago from the East Coast? I think I will be running at the same time as you marathoners, I am thinking I will be finishing as you guys are starting-I will be doing the 10 miler that morning-and sending you strong leg vibes Looking forward to it because it is such a pretty and fun race, however I haven't trained for it-so I think I will just take it easy and just run it since I haven't done any distance running lately.

eksmom-sorry to hear about your dog-but glad she is doing better and responding to the meds! to your mom

kerc-crown pics? I have finished mine-just being lazy and haven't felted it yet.

BBM-get out there!!

Holy Unfairness Batman!

Guess what I just got at the store today?

My first freaking pp AF! :
No wonder I've been feeling pissy for the past couple days! I had PMS!
Would it really be too much to ask for to have more than 5 days between pp lochia and pp AF?
Oh, Plady, so sorry. (I have to admit I thought you were going to say they jacked up the price on Skippy or something ) I don't remember the exact details but I think I had lochia for ~6 weeks, had about 10 days off and started bleeding again - I honestly didn't know what it was until I had an u/s at my 8 week PP appt and she could see that I had ovulated. :

On the PB topic, I have been craving Jif this pg... we've been off of that stuff for at least a year but I can't get it out of my mind. I think I'm gonna buy the smallest jar they have and not let anybody else but me eat it. :
Plady, are you sure it's AF? It could be your lochia coming back telling you to slow down. That just doesn't sound right.
that's what I was thinking....
That occurred to me but it isn't bright red, I felt bloated and cranky all weekend and I was craving stuff like chocolate and Skippy. I always get it around 6 weeks, this time it just happens to be only 1 month to the day. It figues though that I was going to go swimming this afternoon. I think that will have to wait until I feel really ready to Diva up.
Aw, Plady. That's just wrong. I really hope it is just a continuation of lochia. You should get at least a few months of respite from AF .

And Nancy, I wanted to congratulate you on your half-marathon!!!!! Great run .
Eks, I say we go out and indulge in crap pb then! You because it sounds good to you and me because I'm feeling sorry for myself!
I'm glad your dog is doing better, sorry you're still spotting, I'm sure that has long since gotten old. I will send some prayers out for your mom to have an uneventful recovery.

Nancy - good run!

Plady - that sucks! how cruel to not get a break from AF.

Eksmom - i never really thought of PB as a no-no type food. my nutritionist friend told me that PB&J is a good choice in the scheme of things, particularly for active folks.

Nancy - nice job on Sunday. I didn't end up making it down because my mom came for a visit, but the weather was beautiful. My friend came in 6th overall, she's so fast - way beyond my abilities.

Just did a nice 40 minute trail run. The weather is perfect for running right now. felt great.

Po7 - how'd it go with the ENT?

I don't use the all natural PB, my kids just arn't into it and I'm not into it all that much either. We don't have a very high sugar diet, so it doesn't bother me that we get some sugar in our PB. We usually use it with jelly which is high sugar anyways or in baking which has sugar added, so it just doesn't seem like a big deal to me!

Plady- sorry you got your AF already. That totally bites

My goals this week:
M: Already did a short circuit at school, may do some circuits in my basement later.
T: 5 miles
W: Work out in class
Th: 7 Miles
F: Off
S: Circuits
S: 3 miles

Oh, me either... I wasn't clear, but I just meant the Jif kind, since we normally buy the kind you grind in the store or that Smart Balance natural PB. I grew up on Jif and there is just something about the way it tastes on a bagel...

As an aside, in the early years of our marriage DH and I would "fight" over PB as he grew up on Peter Pan. I won with my Jif. After the recent Peter Pan recalls, he now credits me with saving his life.

We're so proud of you!

Congrats Dr Callie!!!! Now you are qualified to spout psychological advice on the radio. I hope you can get some major destressing in soon. Many edits to do?

Plady, AF came back at 6 weeks, and came every 12-14 days for the next year and a half. No, I'm not bitter.

Waiting for email from the local apple store. I may go and get my new 'puter this evening. Otherwise, first thing tomorrow morning. That's just in time too. I can't see my calendar from home.

Back to a rousing game of hangman with DD.

Congrats Callie!!

We're back from the doc. The verdict is that her tonsils are indeed huge, and removal would benefit her sleep/behavior issues. Doc says he sees this a lot. I'm waiting for a call from the office this week to get her scheduled for her procedure. Doc did say that they will keep her for observation for 5-6 hours because the removal will be for breathing issues...they want to make sure that swelling and such doesn't cause her any problems.
