First, in my class at school - American Social Welfare Policy, we were taught that TANF has a 5 year lifetime limit, but states can sort of decide for themselves. So, FL decided to cut that down to a three year limit - for life. Crazy state. I have no idea about minors, though...
Catholic Charities is a good idea. I have never tried going there or calling them. I am feeling a little optimistic - at least about this month. My daughter's father's family (sorry, even ex doesn't sound right, we were together for a pretty short time) is going to help me pay this month (as much as they can, which *should* be enough). They aren't going to be able to help me every month, though, so this just gives me a little more time to figure something out. I need to find a job that will work with the limited times that I can find a (free!) babysitter. Basically that's just Saturdays and Tesday evenings right now. I wish I could find a legitimate and free-to-start WAH job, but have had no luck. I did register with www.tutor.com
, but am on the waiting list, because I qualify to tutor the easy subjects, I guess. That would help.
I'm going to bed now, but I jsut want to say you guys are great. Thank you so much. You always talk me down from the "ledge". One day when I'm not struggling so much, I'm buying everyone a pack of toilet paper!
