We have just decided to have a third, and I have been a vegan for almost a year and half (never felt or looked better, btw
). I was not vegan for my last two pregs. I just had a not-so-pleasant (to put it mildly) encounter with a new OB in my regular practice when I went in for my annual exam and told her that we were TTC and I am vegan. I would love to talk to other vegans who are TTC (or have in the past) to see what your experience with health care providers has been, what type of supplements you have taken/ plan to take, what kind of additional tests your provider may want you to take, and just get some support. Based on the experience I had today, I can already see that it will take a good deal of confidence and courage to be a pregnant vegan!

: ) has a reputation online for being vegan friendly. I hope it's true! But I am just very confident in my diet and don't think I should be made to change anything.
: ...it had to be the smoked variety.
