Any Vegans TTC? - Page 48

I hope to O by Thurday anyway (so I'd better not be 10 days late again) becasue DH is having hernia surgery and will be off for 2 weeks. I'm not sure when he'd be able to DTD again!

Thoughts?
I would go with the first temp and just note that it was early, or adjust it with this.

well, if you absolutely hate them (now you are the deprived one ) wouldn't it be a real hassle to eat them? try almonds, do you like those? In case you might like walnuts a different way: maybe mix them with dates and dried coconut in a blender and put the mixture into a small container, kinda like you would a crust. then put it in the freezer. it's like a crumbly, very very rich little bar-thingie. just a thought. I put banana slices on mine and ate it like a cake I don't think they still taste like walnuts at all then.
as long as you get omega-3s from somewhere...
are you doing anything from TIC yet? no pressure, just curious.

my two last temps don't really count either because it's the weekend and I never temp at the right time then unless it's around o. AF spotting is expected tonight. we'll see. I am already really psyched about my high temps and the earlier o, so I will continue the program and DH agreed to get checked in June if nothing happens until then. We'll have a little money again after moving and going to canada and it's also warmer outside which will hopefully activate all the eggs so that's the gameplan. but of course I am still dreaming about a christmas baby.

I'd also take the first one because that is your "right after sleep" temp. I guess we'll find out by your temp tomorrow.
I'm sorry your DH has to get surgery. I love to watch Scrubs but I do not love to have surgery! :it will be the least painful possible and he'll be fine again soon.

I did have more than one handful of nuts! (I like this smilie, sorry for the repeated posting).

the weather here has been pretty cool again and rainy, but we already had a couple really warm days so i'm hopeful. oh wait, it's raining again.
enjoy your sunday everyone.

Good morning oceane! Check you out, with your high temp this morning! I am not doing anything from TIC yet, I am reading the book really slow. Maybe a subconcious avoidance? Figured since most of the treatments are for pre-o, I might as well wait this cycle out and give my body one more chance. Yay for your DH agreeing to get tested! I think I may send mine if I don't get a BFP this cycle.
I do like almonds, I like to add almond slices to my cereal sometimes. Thanks for the tip on the walnuts, I may try those bars this week.
Sorry it is rainy there. Looks like we are in for a 2nd nice day in a row here, 60F and sunny! This is after a lot of days of rain, snow, or wind. So yay! Have a good day!

Good morning vegans!

I am struggling with seasonal allergies like never before. I think I've always had a touch, but this year is just insane. And I think line drying my sheets (which I love) is aggravating the problem because I sneeze and cough all night and am just absolutely miserable. So I'm washing all the bedding now and drying it in the dryer and DH is out buying a new filter for the furnace/AC right now. I've been using a neti pot, too, which feels nice and helps a bit, but at night I figure I'm just rolling around in tree pollen and it's killing me!

It's such a shame because the weather really has been nice. I hope everyone is enjoying a bit of spring.
vegancupcake, that's annoying allergies are such a pain.I hope drying the sheets differently will do the trick.

snow pea, that's right, it's more of a pre-o thing. the temp was taken at 10 a.m after being up so it should really be discarded. I'll do so tomorrow, today I just enjoy looking at it
post #947 of 1054
VeganCupcake, hope you sleep better tonight after washing the bedding. I don't have allergies, but I have a friend who does and he swears by accupuncture for them.

oceane, lol on the temp. you should keep it, its a nice one!

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

I started spotting this morning. darn it. good thing I have that game plan in mind already...
on the upside, my temps are higher, no spotting on day 11, I can move and actually carry heavy things (we have so much STUFF), and Maca is awesome.

now I'm holding my breath for the rest of you.

oceane. My temp is dropping, so I think AF may be on her way to my house too. Guess I better quit procrastinating and finish that book.
for snow pea. though the mantra goes: it ain't over till it's over

catemom, I hope you got invited for an interview
post #951 of 1054
Hugs for oceane and SnowPea.

Catherine, I'd try acu, it's worth a shot!

How are you catemom?

It looks like we finally have a sticky baby over on the 40+ thread. It had been almost a year, and 5 straight m/c.

I think I am 3 DPO but my temp dropped this morning. My sleep has been very erratic lately though as my monkeys are not sleeping well lately!

Hello Everyone!

I am very jealous of all the people who mentioned that it was raining where they are--it is dry and windy here, as usual. I can't complain too much, though. DS and I met a friend in the park today and although it was pretty windy, it was nice to get out and enjoy the warm weather.

Snowpea You can get omega 3s from pumpkin seeds too. If you're near a Trader Joes, they carry a flaxseed oil that tastes really good (not rancid). I'm not terribly fond of walnuts either, their skins are really bitter to me. Try making a shredded apple salad with raisins, walnuts, a little lemon juice, and a dash or two of cinnamon.

Speaking of food, I got some ideas from internet recipes and made DH a chocolate hazelnut swirl 'cheesecake' for his birthday this weekend. I think I finally figured out a recipe that tastes like cheesecake. The key seems to be generous amounts of better than cream cheese.

I can't resist sharing a photo of DS from the other day http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/h...m/HPIM2057.jpg

Have a great day, everyone!

Yea for the 40+ ttcers! Yes you can!
Thanks for the advice catemom, I tried raw pumpkin seeds today, not bad. I do have flaxseed oil in the frige, but have been lazy about taking it.

And, thanks for the hugs ladies. I am trying to be positive. Also trying to finish the book just in case. Congrats to the 40's tribe!
catemon, thanks for sharing the super cute pic of DS! My DD has some pink flip up sunglasses. Too funny!

SnowPea, it is so hard some times, I know. I know you'll be a sleep-deprived mama soon!

I usually roast or toast my pumpkin seeds, does that get rid of the health benefits?

Thanks for the support about the trials of TTC over 40. It was really getting depressing on that thread for awhile. No sticky babies for about 11 months and 5 m/c in a row. Yikes.

Now I seem to have a little EWCM. I guess the m/c is still messing with my cycle! I'll just keep DTD every other day until I am sure! Hopefully tonight and Wednesday will do it as DH has his hernia surgery Thursday!
catemom, your DS is awesome!

veganmama yay for the 40+ thread! I was confused when reading your first post and checking your chart, I think it's still pre-o.

I prefer walnuts to pumpkin seeds, but good to know they're full of omega3s, too. i'll get some after moving.
catemom, that is a great pic of your son! Are those windshield wipers on his glasses?

oceane, your chart is lookin good this cycle, temp is staying up!

veganmama, your chart is messin with me, need your temp for today so I can stalk!

I got up to pee less than 2 hours before I temped, and I temped about a half hour early, sooooo...not sure if my temp today really counts, but its the same as yesterday. Waiting and seeing and still keeping my :. Have a good day ladies.
My temps are definitely messing with me. Obviously the m/c is still throwing things out of whack. I never O later than CD 13.
looking good, snow pea!

my temp dropped so I will probably really start AF today. 2 days of spotting indicates some serious progesterone issue, right? although my lp is longer crazy-making.

veganmama, maybe you oed on day 15. that's still semi early. and I'm crossing my fingers surgery tomorrow goes well for your DH.

catemom, I'm in Northern Germany so it rains A LOT! we're like England, often.

Blech, still no definitive O. Women often have annovulatory cycles after a m/c. But I O'd last month! Albeit on CD 23. This is so frustrating, last chance to catch the eggie tonight!

do you still see your TCM doctor? did she mention anything was messed up because of the m/c? really frustrating.
