Last night at dinner I was telling my cousin I was concerned about the beginning of my pregnancy becuase my symptoms where different than with my girls. I told her I feel way better now being like almost 36 weeks but I wont feel like he is here till he is in my arms.

Do you know what she said???

Oh it is ok, your in the clear now. unless he is stillborn right?

Wow. That is a really really really dumb thing to say. If someone said that to me I'd just walk away. Sorry you had to hear that!

you should write a book and make millions. I'd be speechless too

Dang. I have no idea what I would say to that.

I have a SIL that comes out with stuff like that. Even when I am expecting it, it floors me every time.

You must be a woman with patience for stupidity. I am not. i can't stand stupid people and if someone said that to me, regardless if they were a family member, they would not be standing after they said it. I would inflict pain that would make them think before speaking next time. So sorry.

OMG that is the most horrible thing to say! So sorry you had to listen to that! And I agree I could NOT have listened to ANYONE family or not say that without doing/saying something VERY bad

WOW... Now that's the stupidest thing to say to a near-term mama ...

Some people just don't (and never will unfortunatly) get it...
Well, I guess she does have a point and I say that same kind of thing all the time that it's a big relief to be full term now but gee, that's me talking about me. You had obviously just expressed serious concern that should have been taken seriously. The stillborn comment was completely uncalled for! I mean, holy cow!

We should really all get together and write a book:
"What to expect...from dumb people while you're pregnant"
Just so other pregnant women can have some kinda comeback handy. I just cannot believe someone would say something like that. Holy cow!

OMG do we share a sil??!!! I cannot tolerate her. I dislike her soooo immensely, and its true... even when I expect it, it gets me everytime.

To the OP~~~ . What a cousin. I'm sorry you heard that.

Obviously your cousin doesn't have kids nor has she been pregnant!

WOW!

Yes... that would definitely require a LOT of patience to keep any type of composure... I think I would just say... "Get the h*** out of my house..." Then rant to dp for the rest of the evening about what a HUGE idiot my cousin was!
