Do fermented drinks/foods contain selenium?

I was reading the sticky about immunology on the Vax board (just the first page... it's a long one) and it mentions that selenium is key for a strong immune system. So I'm wondering if any of our fermented beverages or foods contain selenium? Or do I have to buy it in pill form?

The sticky mentions this:
Quote:
food souces are brewer's yeast, garlic, liver and aggs. manimal sources are richer than egetables. All foods lose selenium in processing. Brown rice has 15x the amount of selenium as white rice, and whole wheat bread twice as much selenium as white.
But then again, it also says that food these days is radically deficient in minerals and vitamins (which we already knew). So I'm skeptical that eating regular foods is going to give me what I need. Oh and... I can't do liver. Sorry :

I take supplements of selenium being much of the word is deficient in it.

Food cant have selenium if there isn't any in the soil in which our food grows.

I've heard that brazil nuts are supposed to be high in selenium (one nut is said to provide 100% of RDA...but take that for what it's worth). I'm not sure if it still true or not, but I try to eat a small handful of brazil nuts everyday to provide selenium.

I've read that brazil nuts are significantly tainted with strontium-90, so I got trace minerals liquid with selenium. I squirt it into sauces, etc.
