You have done a tremendous job on your house!! It is absolutely beautiful. I am an old house lover and just love how one can take such a mess and make it into something so beautiful. It makes me think about how happy the original owners would be to see such care taken on their home. So many people let old homes go to waste and I think it is so sad. Congrats to you on the great job!! You have done your house proud!

One thing I realized is that when you start out with good bones/interesting features etc, you don't need as much furniture/decorative accessories to make it look homey and beautiful. I live in a boxy/bare/boring apartment, I need to add accessories... then make sure I don't go too far so that it looks cluttered.

oo, beautiful house! what part of the world are you in? it is wonderful that you restored the front porch. i am deeply envious - around here there are lots of those old characters, but they'll cost you your firstborn. it helps if you can renovate it yourself.

i love the bright white trim, and gently colourful walls. i love the bathroom with the fine boards all round. you've kept it very spare. very nice!

We are in Lakeland, Florida - which is between Tampa and Orlando. I love this area!

Well, both, I guess. We get quite a lot of rain in the summer. Actually, one of my favorite times to sit on the porch is during a thunderstorm. And we are the lightning capital, so we can't get some impressive shows out there!

My dh grew up in Lakeland. It is a very pretty area

I've been lurking here mamas, and have been so inspired! I have been doing alot of decluttering due to nesting lately.

I'm almost ready to post my pics! Just need to tidy up (you know, the everyday stuff that inevitably gets littered around by my 2 and 3 year old boys) and take some.
