I decluttered and rearranged the play area....feels soo good! It's still a little cluttered looking, but so much was tossed or put away.

Oh, goodness, is this thread still going?  Wow!  I have made so many improvements since I last posted.  I will try to post updated pics sometime soon.  Kudos to all who have made progress!

I haven't posted in a long time so I thought I'd post a few new pictures (that show an unmade bed hehe.. at least the picture from the living room is taken after I picked up the toys).  DD wanted to get her own bed and it's in our bedroom next to out bed. She also got a teepee for her birthday and that is sometimes up in the living room. If you don't have a lot of stuff, you can live in 600 sq ft with a toddler and have room for a teepee :)

I just need to finish putting up our curtains, and we have a chair to buy for our living room, and then we are officially settled in.  I can't wait to post the photos!  It's a bit minimalist, and all IKEA (just to warn you!) but I love it.  smile.gif

Here we are at Toronto airport with all our carry-on (including our cat).

And here we are in Zurich with our worldly possessions.  We managed to fit everyone and everything into one mini-van taxi.

We have a lot more stuff now!

omg! my jaw is dropped in admiration!  i cannot even imagine moving with such few boxes. i am amazed and envious!  wow wow wow wow!  soooo inspirational!  and moving to europe? swoon!

I took the cover off the love seat (you can see a tiny bit of it in the one pic) and we just have an armchair and loveseat now, dark green faux suede. I am a bit overwhelmed with the decals and unhappy they are PVC ;( , but I can't find an EVA / PEVA ones.

Add me to the list of people who think this is gorgeous! I always been a fan of neutrals as well as apple/kiwi green so this room speaks to me on so many levels. What a calm and inviting space you've created for your bub there. Well done! orngbiggrin.gif

Wow, you did an awesome job. The house looks so decluttered. And I just love all the wooden trim!

Thanks! Its been MONTHS of work, lots of re-painting.. getting rid of SO MUCH STUFF! But in 1 week on the market we had 4 showings and an offer!!! Unfortunatly the pre-approval for these people is from a lender known to back out... so if they can't get approved by a local bank we are going to have to say "no thanks" but that is amazing! Portland, here we come!!

i am ever decluttering, more things just always find their way into our home. i need support, ladies! how do you keep up on everything, plus increase the organization of your home, especially with little littles?

Fr me it has helped me to sit down and write down things I need to do on a daily basis, weekly, and monthly. For example, I have written in my organizer things I have to do every morning and evening. I do the swish and swipe ala flylady every morning, alone with sweeping the floor and a few other things. At night before bed I make sure to put all toys away and tidy up the living room and dining room as much as possible.

Then I have other things written in that I have to do every Monday, tuesday, etc. So everyday when I get up I check what I need to do for the day. This has helped keep the day to day messes in check.

And when you first start decluttering, you will find that things get messy very quickly if you don't keep an eye on things. That usually means that you haven't decluttered enough. I've been decluttering for about 4 months and just now it is starting to get to the point where I am starting to see a noticeable difference in upkeep of my house.

I posted these in the 2012 thread as well:

Here are a few pics. I have been decluttering for about 2 months or so. My bedroom and living room are mostly under control, so that's what I'm gonna show. I am currently painting the living/dining back to white, and I still need to get the curtains fixed, but it's mostly done.

I posted some pics of my bedroom in this thread before. Since then I have further decluttered the closet, and I moved the furniture around. It's way better now.

Eventually there will be a rug, but probably no coffee table. My husband wants a coffee table, but then him and the kids end up eating there ALL the time.

CIMG4054.JPG

This wall will be painted white, and maybe someday I'll get bookcases to go in the corner instead of the curtains.

Still have to center the two prints with the mirror, since the bed used to be on this wall.

I got rid of so much stuff from this closet last week, all thanks to Flylady.

I may also get rid of the clothes rack. The basket is clothes I have to iron.
