Thanks Ladies!! I really enjoy our home We are in a two bedroom apartment and I just try to do what I can with what I have. Most of every piece of furniture we have has come from a thrift store and I love that!! It is our home and I feel at home...finally!

I love that picture, too! It was a really nice space to sit and "veg" in - there was a large window that overlooked the street. The dog would sit up on the couch with us and watch for the mail lady - it was her favorite part of the day.

And all that storage is AWESOME. My DH and I remodeled that house together - it took about a year and half (we replaced and fixed EVERYTHING - plumbing, flooring, electrical, moved the kitchen, added 2 bathrooms, etc), and did most of it while pregnant. The glory of doing it yourself is that you can decide where you want it and how big to make it. My DH built all those cabinets himself - the one in the dining room was his favorite. He sketched that for me the day we closed on the house and built it exactly as he drew it. It was in his head for a long time.

That master bath was amazing - it was all travertine (floor, shower, bath surround, and counter), with a heated floor underneath it. It was cozy warm, and the dog and baby loved to play on it while I showered.

I've been admiring all of your pictures - so gorgeous! I really like the variety that exists in all of our homes. I've been debating whether to share my pictures here or in the small homes thread but compared to some homes that are being discussed, mine feels huge!

It's called Brown Sugar and it's by Kilz Colors. You can only buy it at WalMart, though. The Kilz Colors paint is WONDERFUL! It's all we use here and have been super pleased!

gmvh--the shelving in your playroom is fabulous (so is the rest of your house . . . so warm and organized and inviting). Where did you get it? I love that it has desks for the kids, and the play kitchen is genious.

Thanks! We had everything painted and then I stumbled upon them at Ikea and they matched all the colors in our downstairs! They're linen and were crazy cheap.

You are correct! Thank you for the kind words. I love old houses and this one is definitely old but doesn't have an old feel in it because we've gutted it... I'm becoming more and more attached to it and am anxious to get it completely finished and furnished!

I know a lot of people use Ivar as basement or garage stuff but it's so practical and the desk pieces are fantastic. If/when our play room is turned into a bedroom, we'll be able to split up the Ivar and make new configurations for each child, complete with a desk. How can you beat that?

I really like the work you've done. Love the wall color in the Master Bedroom. Love the start white trim against all the colorful walls, too. Looks really clean and fresh.

My home is outfitted in IVAR as well. I love it because it's so versatile. The only thing I don't love is that things fall off the ends, but that's wasy enoguh to fix if I am determined.
