Thanks! Yep, they are from Target- I love the different textures on the quilt! We had been looking for something they could agree on for a while, and they both loved this set. I'm sure the toys will be all over the floor soon, but I actually went through their rcom yesterday & put any toys that were on the floor in a garbage bag & took them out to the shed (this was after asking them to pick up multiple times). I figure the fewer toys, the less mess.

Maybe I shouldn't be looking at all of these pictures. I keep seeing houses I love and I'm stuck renting an old farmhouse with paneling and plaster walls for another year at least. And I really love all of the red walls I keep seeing. I finally went out and bought red curtains for my living room to liven it up.

I don't know if I can get any good pictures, but I'll try later. Maybe it will make some of you with quirky old houses and more clutter, like me, feel better!

Here is our kids' room. We just cleaned and reorganized it. In the spring, we'll be doing some work to the room: painting, finishing trim, and adding a bookshelf/curtain room divider because the kids want their own space. This is the whole second floor of our house.

Thanks so much! You will be sad to hear that my kitchen in the next couple weeks will not look like that any more. My DH's dad is a custom cabinet maker and he is making us brand new craftsman (mission style) era cabinets. Though I love my red cabinets, they will now be in the laundry room and the kitchen will match the rest of my house a little more.

I will post pics of my updated kitchen when it is finished!!

Beautiful!I want you to know I saw this red end table I liked at tjmaxx. It was cheaply made and I was concerned about it being tippy. I decided instead to scour the estate sales and paint one red like your chairs!

Beautiful! From the standpoint of a buyer: the rooms look very spacious and well kept. Everything looks great! I'm a bit put off by the deck photo because I can't visualize the door, but that might just be me

it's an L-shaped deck but when the agent came to take the pictures, there was some stuff on the lower part, so he couldn't take pics of it! *oops* nice going, hubby!!

We live in an 800 sq foot apartment. I've been on a decluttering binge for the last few months, and yesterday moved all the bookcases into the dining room. Moved some living room furniture aroundf...got everything how I like it. You can see the old indentations in some of the furniture. We can't paint or anything like that, and the entry way is stupid shaped.

I'm working on the bedroom and play room right now, but for now, here's the link to the living room and dining room (pay no attention to the pump next to the computer. For now, with me pumping every three hours, it stays out.

kathee, feel free to ignore me completely...here is what i would do. i would move the large picture over the tv to across on the big wall behind the big couch. i would hang it lower than you had it - so the center of the image is at eyelevel - say about 5'5". then i would put a plant or two above the tv...good energy, something gentle to look at, add a touch of colour there. maybe a tall plant and a smaller one. i would move the lamp and table to the other side of the red chair, or possibly turn it inward at the corner to face the other chairs. a plant that stands on the floor and is tall would make it so cosy!
