We just moved in to our new house 2 weeks ago and we did the living room first. Dh made built in bookshelves again because we loved them so much in our old house for storage.

The kids toys are in here at the moment (in baskets) but that'll change as the rest of the house is reno'd.

Here's the before and the after.

Ooh, limette, I already commented on your rooms (gorgeous!), but I looked at your blog and your house is amazing. Like, so, so amazing, inside and out. It's the kind of house dh and I always drive by and say, "I wish we lived in a house like that!" I love it!! =)

Thanks! It's a ton of work and money though. The floors slope in a dozen different directions...it's been neglected for a long time. Lol that's why we were able to afford it!

There are so many houses like this in the area, it's crazy. This was the only one that had more than an acre that was in our budget. Lots under 100k on an acre or less.
