can't sleep

It is almost 4 am and I am wide awake! I am so mad about these darn cold sores! They hurt and I really don't want to deal with this right now. I feel like nature is doing everything it can to make me uncomfortable! I know they came because I am so stressed. I feel like no one understands WHY I am so tired and grumpy! I contract all night so I can't sleep, and then enough during the day that I can't do a whole lot. It wears a mama out, especially dealing with a sickie 2.5 year old!

Okay, done whining!! I hope the rest of you are sound asleep if your time zone allows for that!

I wish I was asleep. But I can't breathe again.

I did get 3 1/2 straight hours of sleep tonight! Very exciting for someone who has waking hourly for the last few weeks.

I can hear DD coughing, but DH seems to have woken up to take care of it for once. That man can sleep through anything -- not so amusing to a cranky, sleepless pregnant woman.

Also suffering from insomnia here. It's horrible! Regarding the cold sores, have you checked whether Herpacin is safe to use during pregnancy? It is an over-the-counter lip balm that is supposed to help the pain and get rid of the cold sore faster. DS uses it when he gets cold sores. Good luck!

I'm sorry you have to go through this now.
Isn't it weird how you'd think your very pregnant body should be doing anything to get rest before the baby comes? Nope, never happens. I usually catch a cold right before the big day, have insomnia or stomach issues. Some say it's to prepare us better so we don't get spoiled because once that baby is here we don't get any sleep either.
Screw it, I am sick of lying awake at night. I'm just thankful I don't have any ouchies with it, just insomnia.

I haven't been able to sleep for the last week or so. I've been going to bed at 3 at the earliest. So annoying..The dr gave me a script for Ambien the other day but I won't fill it..I did pick up some Tylenol PM the other day and I'll take it if I get desperate.

I've been trying to cut out caffeine and even if I'm really exhausted during the day I only take a 30 minute nap. I just so wish I could sleep. The baby will probably come in the next couple of weeks and I want to enjoy my sleep now before I'm up nursing all night!!

Seems like I can sleep anytime, anywhere but in bed at night!

I fell back asleep at like 6am and DS woke at 7am, what a rip! My doctor did say that the cold sores were nothing to worry about. He said maybe some doctors would require a section for something silly like that, he doesn't. As long as you don't have genital herpes it is fine, and I don't so I am good. He did also say anything OTC is fine (abreva, whatever). I think it is too late for that though since they are already here. I will just deal with it!

With DS I kept getting yeast infections at the end. It is always something isn't it?

I've had some insomnia the last week as well.

Seems like every night I hit that 3rd up-to-pee time and have trouble getting back to sleep. I haven't had issues like this since early in the first trimester. boo.

I think my brain just needs an 'off' button!

Ugh, I feel the insomnia thing. I'm with Vicitoria -- I can nap great, just not SLEEP AT NIGHT.

My dh has a cold sore and I feel really guilty. I know it's because I'm driving him crazy from acting like a 40w pregnant lunatic. He also had one right before we got married, and during my last pregnancy. I'm not good for him!

sleep? whats sleep? (says the grumpy exhausted uncomfortable pregnant woman at 2:30am )

My last labor was 3 days. I am going to be screwed if it takes that long again and I have not gotten enough sleep. ugh

I can sleep for periods of time, but as you can see I am up again. 8ugh* cramping, mild contractions and then nothing. just enough to wake me up.

I too have problems falling asleep at night.

Often I am laying in bed for hours.

I can feel the baby moving around so that doesn't help the situation either.

I never had this pregnancy insomnia in my previous pregnancy.

Its annoying as far as I'm concerned.

I've never really had insomnia before either..But it's hit hard this time..I've stopped napping at all during the day even if I'm exhausted to try and help get to bed earlier..Doesn't do a bit of good..

And this morning DH woke me up with this snoring..Not happy right now. Everyone is sleeping but ME..Bleh..

It is always something keep me up! Peeing, cramping, CTX, DS, DH snoring, whatever. I have tried sleeping out on the couch, but it is low to the ground and hell to get off of when I have to go pee!!

here we go again... how am I going to be able to get through labor if I'm exhausted before it even starts?

I'm so tired, and so tired of being tired

I was up at 2am with the trots from hades, and I was nauseous. I seriously thought I was going into labor. I had stomach cramping AND some big CTX. I was breathing through them. It got so bad I cried and then got all upset thinking, this is just diarrhea.. how will I manage labor!? Now today I am trying to reassure myself that I CAN do this!
