Tender uterus?

Thread Starter
Everytime I palpatate(sp?) my uterus to feel baby (gently I might add!) My uterus is extremely tender. When the midwife used the doppler at our last appt. I cringed everytime she moved it to find baby (we have a wiggler )
I don't remember being this tender with DS. Should be something I call my midwife about?

The only other thing is the pain in my hips and pubic area. It didn't happen this badly or as early with DS. Now I can hardly move or walk for the pain and can't sit or stand up for long periods of time (which is hard not to have to do with a toddler!) I just turned 20 weeks and so I wasn't expecting this for another 5-10 weeks. Anything anyone can recommend to help?

sounds like muscle tenderness from being out if alignment. but still definitely talk to your mw about it. a massage, visit to the chiro or a warm bath with some stretching and yoga could help immensely.

The muscle tenderness might be aided by more hydration. As for the hip/pubic pain, that's probably either round ligaments or symphisis pubis disorder (SPD), both of which can be very painful and both which will start earlier in a second pregnancy. Baths can help, and massage, and chiro care. Good luck!

this has been happening to me too. MUCH earlier than the first pregnancy. i've heard that after your ligaments and things stretch the first time they stretch faster the second time.

i've been sleeping with a pillow since i was like 12 weeks! i didn't do it with ds until like 6 months!

hope you feel better.
