Please say a prayer for me. I'm really struggling. I've had some dreadful "pre-labor activity" as my MW puts it going on since 2am yesterday.
Last night I had 1 min to 1 min 1/2 long contractions every 7 minutes for 7 hours and they were really hard contractions. DH has the stomach flu and is trying to take care of our toddler but he's struggling too. I finally passed out and just woke up (1 hour of sleep in the last 2 days) but now the contractions are even weirder in terms of spacing.
So I'm just not making any progress towards actually popping a kid out apparently. I am so hoping that this settles into the 5-1 pattern that the MW promises me it will this afternoon. (I've had bloody show since 2am yesterday morning, so something should be going on........but it's not).
I'm starting to really question if I can do this and any good prayers/vibes you could send my way would be really appreciated. My plan was a HB but seriously I know that if I bothered to show up at the L&D they would send me home too.
Thanks in advance! Off I go to walk around the block with DH and my dachshund and toddler.
I can feel your pain!! Last night contraction 1 1/2 min long every 7-8 min with moderate pain. I was sooooo tired, went to bed and woke up with them completely spaced out and crazy. Plug is gone, good dilation in place already. It's raining out right now which we really NEED but it doens't do much for getting active!
praying that you both make progress and get relief soon! hang in there and know it will be worth it shortly!
sorry your dh is sick, that must be tough for both of you, too.....
best wishes,
jj
Girls, you can do it. Hang in there! You're so close. Is there anything you can do to get some distraction? Watch a chickflick, have a glass of wine with it?
Sending speedy labor vibes your way, I hope it'll be over soon for both of you!
here's hoping that your labor picks up and baby comes soon, while you ahve a tiny bit of energy left in you, honey. Im sorry ppl are sick, my DH is on dayquil/nyquil and two of my 3 kids are green and snotty and coughing.
You can do it! YOU ARE DOING IT! And very soon your little babe will be in your arms and the whole labor part will be a distant memory. Keep up the good work and be sure to find a way to get rest...even if it's just a staring out the window and noticing the light on occasion type of rest. YOU CAN DO IT!
Yippeeh, Congratulations!!! All you mamas are doing a wonderful job, I can't wait until it's my turn.
