10 minutes apart?

Okay, maybe I am just getting excited. I have had my very mild contractions for around 10 minutes apart for the past 2 hours... maybe it is from stress? According to what I have read this is the beginning.... should I be calling my "birth partner"? She is about 40 minutes away from here and would have to probably pack things... I still need to pack birth bag... the rest of it.....
Should be resting.... but can't sleep....

That's very exciting!

My midwifes said to do something different from what you have been doing to see if anything changes with the contractions. So if you've been lying down, move around and if you've been moving around, lie down and take a rest.

If nothing changes I'd give people a preliminary heads-up.

Good-luck!

I have no clue - I do that every night! But I hear some women do that and actually do go into labor

I finished packing my bag, just in case, then I figured I better lay down and TRY to sleep, they slowed down... false alarm! Oh well, I have a couple things I need to get and dd successfully trashed the house in 2 days.

This is what I have been living with since sunday!!! It is starting to wear me down, even though I am sleeping. Today though was unusually quiet with both contrax and baby... Calm before the storm???

Hang in there Mama! My MW says that this type of "ripening labour" generally makes "real" labour faster...Here's hoping

I wasn't really in labor with my daughter until I was PISSED about the contractions...

Are they making you mad yet? If not, I would assume they're just practice ones.

On Monday I had them every 6 minutes for two hours. I was about to call Labor and Delivery, have my husband come home, etc... and they stopped. Fun times!

Good luck, Mama!

They are no longer in any pattern, just here and there. My mucous plug is coming out though, every time I go to the bathroom a bit more, last time it was a big goop of it... maybe a table spoon.

It is so different with this pregnancy - my first one I worked and didn't really have the opportunity to dwell on everything, this time I am at home all the time every day and I just dwell on every single thing that is out of the ordinary!

Definitely sounds like you're making progress! With the continued (tho intermittent) ctxs and now the loss of the plug, it sounds like you're definitely making some good changes. Won't be too long!!
