I'm reading alot. I have crocheting to do, but I haven't been too jazzed about doing that. I do want to make ds at least 1 pair of long wool pants to wear over his cloth diapers this winter. I'm going out this afternoon to buy some red nail polish to paint my toe nails - I think it would be cheerful to have red toes during labor...

I'm dying for something to do. Dh and I have at least one TiVo show every night, but lately I'm just too antsy to sit there while we watch.

I don't know what to do to pass the time. I've been trying to go to the park more and be outside before it gets too cold. I can't clean or anything like that anymore because I'm getting my back worked on 3 times a week at the chiro. It's insane and really I can't do a whole lot of anything. I can't even vacume for crying out loud!

Maybe it is just me, but, Can you still reach your own toes????

I plan on getting DH to do mine this weekend.

I also just finished my first knit sweater (newborn size). It has not been my fave project though as I used cheap cotton yarn on my bamboo needles...UGH! I so prefer wool.

Now I am just waiting for DH to finish the last Potter book so I can read it. I hear it is really nasty...NOT a kids book at all.

I gave up cleaning...I ache too much the next day if I am bending/squatting alot. I was determined to have a clean house though so I got a friend of a friend to come in and clean from top to bottom!!! Ahhh, such a small thing can make such a big difference in my world. Now if only the dishes faery would come!

I am cleaning intermittently! I have been going to chiro 2x a week and that is helping me in so many ways. I should be knitting, but it just isn't doing it for me right now. We got our office unpacked and we got more bookshelves. I was able to bring a ton of books out of storage so I am going back and reading some childhood faves! I just finished A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle!

I have been trying to get DS out to music class, and play dates as much as possible. He has been super hard to deal with lately though, so we don't usually last long anywhere!

I can't reach my toes, but would love to have them spruced up! My good friend does that stuff for a living, I need to hit her up!

DH and I finally decorated Hannah's nursery in vintage Raggedy Ann and Andy. By the way Hannah is 11 months and just now getting her theme going. Talk about procrastinating. Looks cute though......

LOL, I did my toes tonight, and then I was sitting there wiggling them and realized - hey, I thought you weren't supposed to be able to reach your toes at the end of pregnancy! I bet somebody is going to comment on that! Yes, I can still reach them, and I can touch my big toe to my nose!

I have a long torso and wide pelvis - and my babies haven't been over 8 lbs, so I really don't poke out that much. Dh and I were watching a gal with a big basketball belly go into the midwife's after my appointment Wed. - I looked at him and said "I don't look like that, do I?" He said, "no, you have much more room - you never look like that."

I've been shopping a little more than I should, but I realized that I'm living on the second story without an elevator. I'll have to stay home for a bit after I deliver, since climbing stairs is really a "no, no" - so I'm stocking up on things and enjoying getting out while I can.

i'm short with a short torso and my belly is sticking out so much i can hardly get my pants on and have almost had to ask for help a few times recently. my belly gets in the way of lifting my legs much at all.

to pass the time i have been reading lots of baby and kid related books. currently i am reading the last child in the woods and making toys with children. the toy book has me wanting to make all sorts of stuff but the really fun looking stuff to make involves carving wood which i have never done before and don't have the tools or wood around to carve. i think i will make a knot doll soon though. also i have been watching to many tv shows and movies and spending to much time on the computer to pass the time.

I am waiting for baby to turn head down :

Other than that I am trying to avoid doing anything that could possibly keep her breech like crunching over.

My lovely DH has suggested the other day that we go out for dinner, just he and I, before the baby comes along.

My mother will look after our 2yr DS.

Sometimes my DH comes up with good ideas which makes me think gee I married a good man.

I painted my toes!! I guess I should be proud of myself, haha. But I Think it was just an act of contortion. I had my legs out to the sides instead of underneath me, was on my bed, and couldn't see my entire toe nails all that great, but somehow it came out decent. What is it about being able to make toes look good and screwing up fingernails so easily? Maybe I just cant see far enough to notice. I also painted 2 yr old DD's fingernails and toes. It looks so funny having her w/ painted stuffs

I've been knitting, but for DD not for the new baby. I intend to make her some longies, but I havent started them yet (still finishing DD's longies) I'll probably be making them while I lay in bed for 3 days after Victoria is born.

DD's birthday is this coming Wednesday (and I'll be 3 days short of my EDD so hopefully not going into labor!) so I've been able to focus on that a bit. We got her presents tonight after a month of me watching her closely and listing the types of things she seems overly interested in. I hope it was worth the effort... DD refused to take her shoes off tonight that we were going to give her for her birthday and is now asleep with them on her feet. I guess we got atleast one present right.

I did buy some flannel to make wipes (i love $1 flannel) so I can have some larger ones for the baby. Hopefully I'll have the energy to actually make them.

We're going to the pumpkin patch on Monday and then we'll paint my belly a jack-o lantern. I'll post pics.

I gotta get my belly cast done too.

My sewing machine has broken beyond repair sooooo I gotta borrow my sisters. I have wipes and doublers waiting for stitching.

I still have cleaning to do. But I have gotten the seasonal clothes put away/ donated/ handed down organized etc. so that feels really good.

I've discovered ebay in a big way

Buying dresses and clothes for this little one and getting into the last minute fun of trying to outbid people

I seriously have so much stuff to do, I have no free time. I create free time instead of doing the things I need to, like housework, for example. Making free time when you have none, I think there's a name for that right...oh yeah laziness:

How are you guys motivated to even vacuum at 40 weeks pregnant??

This is why procrastination pays! I have lots to do still adn I probably will all the way up to the end. That way I wont feel like I am sitting and waiting, but honestly I am doing it this way because I am a procrastinator.

I have been cleaning up a storm though. I have to say that some of the cleaning is odd. For example, why do I not care that my bathroom mirror looks disgusting but I just spent 30 minutes cleaning the toaster with a toothbrush and all?!?!? I'm having the strangest cleaning compulsions.

I also sewed the curtains that I have been putting off for 4 years, repotted all of my house plants, redecorated a clock I bought at Goodwill with mosaics, put up our new coat rack and shelf to go over it, dusted every individual magnet (we have tons) on our fridge, bought several baskets to organize everything around the house (there's the magazine basket, the DVD basket, the playdough basket, the hats basket, the dog leash basket, the blocks basket, the library books basket...etc...), and have finally organized all of my homebirth supplies (not in baskets ).

I still want to decorate my belly cast from DS :, finish a bunch of work work, dust a few more things, and clean the bathroom (so I guess I'll get that mirror sooner or later) I want the bathroom to be last since it needs to be cleaned a lot anyways.

Okay, I'll stop boring you with my list.

let's see. . .
I went to the thrift store and bought a cozy thick flannel sheet and made 32 wipes, 3 receiving blankets and 4 mama cloth pads - total cost $3.99 and a few hours. I also found a really cute onesie and a cloth diaper for $0.99 each. Love the thrift store!

I've ben hanging out with DP - last night we went out late, bought slushies and then got silly and drove home with me sitting in the driver's seat operating the pedals and DP manning the steering wheel. Yes, we are big children (I'm 24, he's 29). Don't worry, the streets were deserted

I've done tons of laundry and super-organized all the baby clothes/dipes and birthing supplies, including braiding a cord tie for the umbilical cord (now I just need to sterilize it).

I've wasted tons of time on the internet, chatting to friends on the phone and going to visit people (especially those within walking distance!). And tonight I went skinny dipping in the lake after dark with a friend! LOL, yes in October!!

so yeah, clearly I am running out of sane things to do. A baby would be good. . . .

Well, I finally finished all of my cooking and cleaning, so today I am making bracelets with dd, maybe baking cookies, and making her halloween costume.

I am spending time catching up with friends online, watching movies, and starting a cross stitch sampler for Ellen.

Oh, and I am finally going through the stacks of old magazines my mom keeps giving me.

And trying to think about how I can fit me and my big ol' belly into the closet under the eaves to pull out the halloween decorations.
