It doesn't need to be material, either. It can be felt or wallpaper or whatever. Anything a) sturdy enough to be cut and sewn or Stitch Witcheried onto a jumper and b? plentiful enough to have decent-sized cutouts (8" apiece?) of all seven von Trapp kids.
